New Zealand pricing for the C30
by cmarvel on Sat May 05 20:57:06 PDT 2007
I'm just back from a trip to New Zealand (I live in the U.S). The Kiwi's (New Zealanders) were set to receive the first of this year's allocation of 24 C30's as I was leaving on May 3rd. A week before that a Wellington dealer had an ad in that city's newspaper for delivery "Under $40K," which translates into $30K U.S$ at the current exchange rate. But that price had the inevitable * above it. I read about the 24 unit allocation in the Auckland Sunday edition of that city's newspaper, in the Auto section. The article indicated that only the top-of-the-line model would be supplied, including the T5 engine and Tiptronic transmission. It was obviously prepared from a Volvo of New Zealand press release. The "official" price was close to $46K NZ, which would work out to about #34,5K U.S.$. It seemed to me that Volvo was playing to the "just gotta have it" market for this year. There's plenty of prosperity in New Zealand right now, so the strategy will probably work. I don't really know what this means for the U.S. Just thought some of you might be interested.

Hey Bob, I'm in Guelph too! (small world) Glad your remote is working - did you get the work done at Cullen's? Mine goes in on Wednesday - Andrea and Bill have been really good working with me on this one. I'm soooo looking forward to having this working again. Although there are quite a few '06 Impalas around town, mine does look a bit different. Black LTZ, tinted windows, winter tires with black rims. It looks almost exactly like a car that the Wellington County OPP have. Try to stay warm! Brad
Re: Running Boards

Thanks for your reply, I had a local Truck Aftermarket Store install my Running Boards. (The Mercury Dealership wouldn't do it.) This is even after I offerred to have the service manager speak to an engineer at the Kansas City Assembly Plant. The Running Boards are great for my kids; the installation looks clean and the engineer assured me know one would get shocked. The dealer did make a big deal about how they did not recommend this aftermaker product and after 2 hours of discussion with Dearborn they agreed to change my oil and rotatate my tires. I love the hybrid technology just hope they offer to more vehicles in the near future. I haven't changed the high voltage battery air filter yet but hope to do that at 20k. Don
Rough idling 2000 ls 6cyl.
by donbaron on Sun Aug 21 09:48:23 PDT 2005
My 2000 LS 6cyl. is idling rough. Sounds like a cylinder is misfiring or perhaps we got a bad tank of gas? Other than ckecking the fuel filter and spark wires has anyone out there have trouble shot this symptom or am I needing to do some dealer diagnostic. Too bad the general public never caught on to this vehicle; it otherwise has been one of the best vehicles. Don

Now - why, after reading all of the postings, did you contact the BBB? That will solve NOTHING -- you must contact American Honda! Your objective is to get a case # and they likely will tell you NO the first time -- you must be persistent -- again, the BBB venue will not be to your advantage. :confuse:
