Don't get me wrong, there are decent salesmen out there. I'm talking about the other 90%. Yes the public is getting smarter or I like to say "catching on the the car buying game" for every one person who buys that is educated to this there is probably 8 that are not, and what do these "decent" starving salesmen do? fleece them for all they got! buyer beware huh! Yes those years of a gone by era have passed for a salesman to make a decent living also to has passed the salesman of brand loyalty. I used to see salesmen bounce from dealer to dealer and not truly care what kind of car they sold as long has the "closer" got the deal. The real issue is, the dealer does bring to the table the product that we want. the problem is it's not a cut a dry game. So we have to educate ourselves in order to protect ourselves from not so "decent" salesmen.

It cost $14 if I remember, but it tells you what the dealer paid for the car and how to negotiate up from that price, not down from sticker. I plan on getting one when I'm ready to go. But I'm doing it all by internet. It's so easy to do now that you don't even have to go to the dealer until it's time to pick up your car (providing that you have test drove it or one like it). Just go to www.consumerreports.com and check it out, can't hurt. Mark

Re: Wiring problems [canuck16]: by iaff_bln on Tue Dec 18 13:29:37 PST 2007; I have an 05 colly that developed this power lock and driver side window issue. I have checked all fuses, d/c'd battery and left it sit for four hours. I tried removing switches and opening them up, cleaning and re-attaching them. I even went as far as doing the same for other three doors. and still nothing. It has been two days since issue started and all I did was to remove driver side panel to fix my exterior lock. But here is the funny thing, I contacted two Chevy Dealers in my area today. Both dealerships say they have never heard of this issue before now. I have search several forums to find many people having the same issues. Kinda funny that alot of others are having this same issue and dealerships have nothing to say except to bring it in for a diagnostic costing $90.00 an hour. :mad:

My settlement is now here and now I cant decide to get a used one or new? :confuse: During my searching I found a really super clean '05 Red one on ebay. I am leaning towards a new one, now that I have found the one that I had in mind. So here is a link to this car. Waiting for my California Special!: by skidmark60 on Wed Nov 14 01:59:30 PST 2007; Hello everyone, My first time on the forums here but not to Edmunds for sure! I'm waiting to get an '08 GT/CS as soon as I get an answer on my Social Security disability. I've waited over 3.5 years on this but only a year to get my 'stang. What I've found out is that the calif. special has all the options that I wanted and then some with a package price of $1895.00!! I've done the Ford website "price and build" thing a thousand times and found out that if I optioned out what I wanted, it ran over 2k. So...I seen a Candy Apple Red GT/CS on a dealers site and TA DA!! there she is. They have quoted me at invoice for the car, BUT I want it in the Vista Blue, so the search is on. I got my fingers crossed that this happens soon, not sure how much more I can take :cry: I absolutely love the GT/CS, what a beautiful car.
