I figured that you must be near me from reading some of your posts in the past. I'm in Greenwood, so any dealer from Atlanta to Charleston to Charlotte would be easily manageable. Where are you getting your info about Bradshaw Infiniti? (online, Greenville News, etc.) Do you have anything positive or negative to say about them or others in the region? thanks

Trip in 2006 Odyssey EX: by roberts5 on Sat Aug 09 17:37:03 PDT 2008; We just got back from a 1645 mile trip trhough WV and OH from VA. I wish there was more torque to climb the long I-77 upgrades. We had a heavy load with five people plus luggage (1100 lbs.). I cruised between 65-75 mph. The mileage figured between 23-24 mpg on each tank. I also noticed the drivers seat a little rough on the lower back regardless of the lumbar ajustment. The kids traveled pretty well since they had movies to enjoy. Overall it was a positive experience except for the accident just South of Charleston, WV which added six hours to the trip home.

Speed & handling?: by ratledge on Wed Jul 30 09:57:16 PDT 2008; Well, I'm snorting around the '07 area and driving an '08, but I can tell you that I have driven from Charleston to Columbia (South Carolina - all flat land, mostly) with police escort averaging 120MPH and at points hitting about 135 with no problem. From what I've been told - I have the same shocks that are in all the '07 models (apparently 20-Oct-07 is the date that they switched to the new -640 series shocks). Mine came off the assembly line on July 7, 2007.

Re: Genesis Lease options [milan13]: by ratledge on Sat Jul 12 06:30:13 PDT 2008; Sales tax is the one thing I can think of where South Carolina has it all over everyone else: you never pay more than tax on $5000 value regardless of the cost of the car (tax here is 6%, so that would be $300, thank you). It doesn't matter if you buy a $12,000 minimal "high mileage special" or a top-of-the-line Bentley: it's still $300. I'm quite certain that is why everyone was astounded at the "out the door" price I was able to get on an '08 Azera Ultimate back around the first of January... :shades:

Re: cooter [marsha7] SC Unions: by smithed on Fri May 09 09:01:02 PDT 2008; South Carolina (BMW plant, Michelin, etc) is a right to work state. The strongest unions appear to be the longshoremen at the Port of Charleston. Even if there is a union at the place one works, a worker doesn't have to join. :shades:
