Wow trading in your Porsche 911 for a Honda CR-Z? That is far more radical than my wife trading in her BMW 528xi wagon or me trading in my BMW 335i for a Toyota Prius. Things are changing so fast these past few months that I think that all luxury and performance marques need to really focus on mileage. Here's an extreme ominous example of what I am saying: BERLIN, Germany (AP) -- A German man doused his BMW with gasoline and torched it Friday in protest at skyrocketing fuel costs, police said. The unemployed 30-year-old man drove a black 1995 BMW 3-series sedan onto the lawn outside Frankfurt's convention center grounds at about 7:30 a.m., police spokesman Karlheinz Wagner said. He then jumped out, emptied a canister of gas over the vehicle and set fire to it, Wagner said. By the time the fire department got to the scene, the car was entirely burned out. The Bavarian man, whose name was being withheld because he has not been charged with a crime, told police that gas prices were so high he could no longer afford to drive the vehicle. As in many countries, gasoline prices have risen steadily in Germany; a liter of regular gasoline now costs about euro 1.55, or $9.40 per gallon. wow look what i found!   the dealer never did this and that's why the heat doesnt work!    Important: During the service reprogramming in the next step, DTC U2127 may be set in the body control module (BCM) and P1626 in the powertrain control module (PCM). These codes must be cleared immediately following the reprogramming. In addition, the IBCM 1 (30 amp) fuse located in the underhood electrical center must be removed for 10 seconds and then reinstalled. Failure to remove and reinstall this fuse will result in the HVAC system not functioning.

new steering problems

here's some new steering problems with my 2004 malibu maxx lt.   - when making complete left turns the steering wheel sticks left at 10 o'clock instead of centering and straightening out when the car straightens out. i manually have to straighten out the steering wheel. - the car also pulls to the left at highway speeds when accelerating to pass someone up. that's also very weird.... - i still have the same problem on the car pulling to the left when accelerating/decelerating - drifting left on highway speeds   i may be wrong but will tsb# 04-03-06-001 fix these problems? "vehicle leads/pulls characteristics and diagnosis"   What was also funny was that the VP of the dealership wanted to go on a test drive with me, but when I told him I want a malibu maxx there so we can test drive my car and then compare it with their car, he declined and cancelled the appointment. hmmmmm, makes you wonder right?   i already made an appt to have another take a look....will keep you posted.

i dont think you read my post, 2 of the 4 problems related the steering not being centered properly or recalibrated. so that means even an attorney cannot help you since WI lemon law says it has to be 4 times. i already talked to an attorney and they said it has to be in 4 times. the hardest part is that no dealer will take in my malibu to fix or try and fix this particular problem. why? again because the regional rep informed the dealers not to. why? they don't want to admit to not knowing how to fix the new problem that they created.   the WI DOt is now involved along with all the local TV stations.   let's look at the scenario.   1. dealer now admits they forgot to reprogram steering column. 2. dealer reprograms steering column, but hasn't established the center properly. 3. while driving car pulls to the left, it seems off-center. dealer takes back car again and states the steering was misadjusted 4. steering is still off center, dealer tells me they will not take car back to fix it because it's fixed.   hmmm, since i drive a 2 year old every day and this dealer is well known i'm sure the news stations would love to hear about how a dealer won't take back a car they wrecked in the 1st place. And i'm sure the local residents would love to hear about the new electric steering that's unreliable and that can "LOCK UP" while you drive. yeah i'm pretty sure this is news you can use as they say.

not really, i have had 4 visits to the repair shop for steering problems, but 2 of them are for "establishing the center" after my dealer messed up the steering.   so WI lemon law wouldn't cover it for 2 times to the repair shop. now here's what really sucks, the Chevy Regional Rep informed all the local Chevy dealers not to accept my car for this specific repair so in that regard what do you think my next step should be?
