Re: New Member - Saturn Sky owner in Scottsdale AZ [skysouthwest]
by marionk on Tue Dec 26 21:38:24 PST 2006
Hey kindred spirit, My wife has had a Forrest Green Sky since early September and we love this new roadster also. We're from Oregon and are trying to plan the first West Coast Sky / Red Line Rally. The plan is to meet July 1st in Seattle, Washington...take the 30 minute ferry ride across to Bainbridge Island and then tour the Olympic Peninsula. If you know this country at all you know it has stunning beauty that's perfect for top down touring roadsters! As I said we love our Sky... GM has hit a home-run with this design. I definitely see the influence of the 60's Chevy's [primarily Sting-Ray] yet has it's own distinctive look. We bought the Sky and ordered a Mid-nite Blue Red Line the same day. We're #6 in Oregon waiting for the Red Line...Car Crazy eh! I guess you could say we love these cars! We'll be in Scottsdale for the Berret-Jackson Auction next month. Hope to hear from you soon. Mike

I Just bought a 2006 Ford Ranger Sport from Courtesy Ford in Poulsbo, WA. I actually bought this through the Interent from the Fleet Sales Manager. I was a little reluctant to have him search for the Ranger that I built on the Ford Website. But everything went like clockwork. I liked the Ranger and all the afterwork was done in a timely matter. I really feel like I got a great deal.. Re: Annual Tally of Cars Sold by Make and Model [hendjaz]

Hendjaz, Thanks for your update on the local level. The other reply directed me to a web sight were I got solid figures for the 2005 RL sales, 16,000+ here in the US. Comment about bluetooth technology in the RL: We have Sprint cellphones and while an upgrade to bluetooth is possible, Sprint presently doesn't provide bluetooth models without a camera. (In our line of businesses, cell phones with cameras are sometimes prohibited.) So, it might be a while before Sprint realizes not everyone needs or wants a camera with their cellphone. In the meantime, I'd be interested to know about your experience using RL bluetooth connection to your cell phone. Any surprises? Comment on the RL navigation system: I was only mildly impressed with this system until my wife turned right a little too soon after being told to do so, while riding in unfamiliar territory at night on Bainbridge Island. About 2 or 3 seconds later, just before I was about to suggest we turned too quickly, the navigator announced "make a U-turn in about 50 yards". We both laughed, duly impressed with the detailed accuracy of the navigation system.

Hi: I have a 93 SC1 that is doing the same thing as yours with the exception of the noise being more of a hum then a clicking sound. All your other symptoms are exactly the same.
SC1 Mysteriously wont start sometimes
by bainbridge on Wed Aug 31 23:15:30 PDT 2005
I have a 95 SC1 that usually runs fine, but recently after driving and parking awhile, it wont start after coming back after 30 minutes or so. But if I wait another 40 minutes or so (1 hour 10 minutes total), it will start. When it wont start, it make a single small click noise. This has happened 5 times recently out of about 20 times parking. The last time was odd in that I parked and then had to move my car forward a few feet and it started fine to do that, but when I came back half an hour later, it would not start. I went to Kragan and they tested the battary and alternator and starter and told me they were all fine. The battery is only 4 months old. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Thanks
