2 years ago i bought a 05 chevy ava the first thing i did was put some 22'' rims on it ,and by the second week i started noticing this strange hesitation. i was at the stop sign waiting for the green light and when it was time to go, i put my foot on the accelarator then the engine reved up but it took a couple seconds too take off i heard a loud clank then it finally moved .now ive taken it back to the dealer and all they gave was bull and they were only going to take care of it untill it was broken down. Now its done this to me 4 times since the only sense i can make out of it is that the transmission is going out.can anybody tell if this has happen to you i appreciate it. :confuse:

ava: Are you sure you meant to say that? me: I should have put a wink after that. What I meant is that anyone with a good imagination and maybe bending the laws of physics can envision a solution. But no everything is not practical - like perpetual motion. When discussing solutions to an issue, I find it rather a lazy and sometime impractical answer from others that well someone is just going to invent a great battery, solar panel or drill to the center-of-the Earth and get a lot of geothermal energy. It is just like people told you 50 years ago that we'd be in flying-cars right now, all "they" have to do is make nuclear batteries.

Cheverolet Avalanche Speedometer
by toycup on Sun Dec 09 16:14:42 PST 2007
I have a 2004 Avalanche. Driving home from work about 2 weeks ago,(which is a 1hr & 10 min drive), all was normal and I was driving @ 60-65 mph on I-20..when all of a sudden I looked down & my speedometer said 120!! I said what the@#$!?...I was close to the dealership where I purchased the vehicle so I pulled in at the service dept. When I turned the truck off, the speedometer was reading 50 (poor thing couldn't make it back down to 0). Showed the service guy & told him what happened. He said he had heard about some speedometers sticking and maybe could replace it up to 70,000 miles but I have 122,000 on mine (hadn't heard about that & mine just started.) I asked what could be done-he said I could replace the instrument panel which would be $500-600 dollars or I could just reset it by turning it on & off. Well, I took the later but you can do that but so long. Went on the Trailblazer forum & saw they are having big time problems with theirs-maybe they stuck a Trailblazer instrument panel on mine.....Has anyone else with an Ava had any trouble with theirs?
