Good Deal on New 2008 Vibe
by platinumvibe08 on Sun Dec 30 18:27:01 PST 2007
I just bought a brand new Platinum 2008 Vibe on 12/28/07 from Auffenberg of Carbondale and I'm quite pleased with the deal and the overall experience. MSRP on the sticker was $20,835. I bought the car for about $16,550 plus tax and fees. My out-the-door total price was an easily negotiated $17,750. I feel as if I did quite well and so far I really like the Vibe. Happy New Year

One objection that I have to the smaller franchises like Suzuki is their dealer network. If you live in Chicago and your breaks down, you have a few miles to tow your vehicle. On the other hand, if the same car breaks down in Carbondale, IL(or Findlay, OH), how close is the nearest dealership? If it is at an independent shop, how long will it take you to get parts so that you are back on the road. To keep with the topic, what does Suzuki offer that can't be found elsewhere? Nothing that I have seen.

Rahoo, In my view its little bit more than what i paid. But all depends on where u r. i am in st.louis, i paid 28350 inclusive of mud guards, all season mats and cargo tray($415 package) and NO doc fee. try IKE AUTO PARK in CARBONDALE ,IL if you r near somewhere. They gave me a blow out deal when the demand was high.My local dealers were not buding from 28,900 with no free acessories and DOC fee of at least $70 and some even $ 200.Even chicago dealer were not interested in negotiating.though a week after i got mine, one dealer from chicago called me to find if my offer is still valid. BTW i got my EXL on 27th june05. Hope this helps

Yes!...Isn't it great that the vehicles are already priced low. God I hate having to haggle. It was soo painless. Screw the honda civics! The one I priced(21.400) was way over what I paid for the Tc(17,600). Opted to get the extended warrenty since it is the first model year. Not a single complaint. Smoked my first honda SI last night. You cant find a better bang for the buck! I had to drive 2 hours to St. Louis and managed to get the last one! What a bad ass car!
V6 Manuals
by riez on Thu Nov 20 17:05:27 PST 2003
doobie4... I've got a bit under 50,000 miles on my MY2000 Sonata GLS V6 5-speed manual with Pkg 13. Bought her May 2000. She was built in August 1999. She wasn't easy to find. I had to do a multi-state dealer search. She was the only 5-speed V6 in a 10-state area. She had languished on the dealer's lot for a long time. Dealer had tacked on a pin stripe and paint protection and wanted hundreds of dollars for this worthless spiff. I got her in Illinois. Think it was in Carbondale. Only other one I ever heard about was in Arkansas. Don't think I've seen a MY2001 or later V6 5-speed. Don't think I've talked to anyone else with a MY2001 or later V6 5-speed manual. These cars are rare!
