I'd probably be happier if those Hondas, Nissans, Hyundais, and Toyotas were built in places like North Philly, Camden, Trenton, and Allentown - places that were devasted by deindustrialization and the outsourcing of jobs to Asia. I'd also be happier if they unionized their workforces. I hear that things really aren't all that working for Toyota. Newer workers are treated as temps almost forever and older workers are pretty much treated as disposable commodities. In lieu of that, they should at least build all the vehicles they sell in the U.S in the U.S. This goes for the domestics as well. I'm as likely to buy a Mexican-manufactured Fusion as I am a Japanese-manufactured Toyota.

Have you tried CarsDirect? They quote a price then give you dealers that will work with you. Windsor Nissan in Hamilton NJ has a few SE crew cabs with auto, so does Peruzzi Nissan in Fairless Hills Pa. just across from Trenton( talk to George Sweeney Cherry Hill Nissan has a SE crew cab, red with auto and if you don't mind driving or just to get an idea of prices check with Carmax. Good Luck.

No. That Price does not include tax. It is simplly the amount I paid for the car and the destination charge. I also paid 199 for doc fee. The amount of tax I paid was 7% but I don't think including tax in these discussions is meaningful. The tax car dealers collect is different in each state. I get screwed in NJ with a high state sales tax. Other states charge a lot less. On these boards people talk about the Out The Dorr price which includes all costs including tax but thats not an accurate comparision. The comparsion price should include only those cost charged by the dealer - the car, the destination charge, the document fee and the registarion fee. Trenton charges the tax, not the dealer.
Re: DCH Paramus Purchase [oddpath]

Oddpath, The rules of the forum do not allow me to post names, email address or phone numbers. Sorry. I learned during my research that the only two prices that are variable are the price of the car and the doc fee. The destination charge is 670 and I could not get anyone to lower it, the registration fee is mandated by state law, it does change depending on if you have lien or not. I did not so it was 234. I believe its 254 if there is a lien. The doc fee was 199. There are two taxes. 7% of the price and the $7.50 new tire tax!! But, as I've said elsewhere, the dealers don't charge those (our friends in Trenton do) , they just collect them. That's all I paid. I got quotes from DCH Paramus, Middletown Honda in Middletown NY, Route 22 Honda in Hillside and Sussex Honda. Route 22 gave me the best price on the car but their doc fee was 350. So I called the salesperson at DCH. He met the price and I saved 150 on the fees. I was very suprised that I found one dealer that was 500 under invoice right off the bat and I convinced another dealer to match. BUT these are 2008s and they want to deal. As I said in another post, I owe a great deal to mquillen. Take the time to read his posts. He has a lot of knowledge to share. Good luck. EFPAT
Re: 2008 Sequoia Limited for $7800 off MSRP and 0% Financing [wrxcsti]
by ryan0606 on Wed Jun 11 11:31:58 PDT 2008
In response to your question, I bought my 2008 Sequoia Limited 4x4 at Lawrence Toyota in Lawrenceville, NJ (part of Trenton, NJ). I live in NY and drove 2 hours to pick it up as I wanted 20" wheels on my Limited. This was the nearest dealership with this in stock. They actually had 2 Silver Sky Limited's with 20" wheels in stock.
Re: Strut issues for a 2006 Kia Sedona [jimmyy43]
by onedmc on Mon Jun 02 12:17:27 PDT 2008
I have a 2006 Kia sedona. I had front passenger side "clunking" and took it to local Kia dealer in Trenton, NJ. They first replaced front "sway bar"? and clunking still persisted. On 2nd look they had to replace the whole engine"cradle" which is a 4ft. x 4ft. square piece that the engine and other suspension parts are attached to. Clunking noise is no longer there. This was a 2 day repair and they gave me a loaner during the repairs.
