Gary says "'cause baby your a liar, a straight mentarosa.........."
by larsb on Thu Oct 30 13:23:34 PDT 2008
Gary says, "Of course the Honda CEO will lie and say it is the price of diesel. When in the main market there is only 20 cents difference. He does not want it to get out that his engineers screwed up." In the words of my hero Ronald RayGun (zap!): "There you go again." There you go again making your own little personal interpretation. Again incorrect. If you had been paying ATTENTION, you would have seen the OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT which I posted earlier, and not marched this "unsubstantiated rumor" out as fact. So now, it's not CARB/EPA's fault, but a "engineering boo-boo?" Everyone to you is a liar and a cheat, Gary. Don't know how you made it to your current age being that cynical and untrusting.
If you run your Forester battery "flat"..
by kurtamaxxxguy on Mon Oct 20 13:03:46 PDT 2008
I asked Subaru about using the small "power point" rechargers (little batteries that plug into cigarette / power points and send power back to vehicle battery over vehicle internal wiring) with '09 Forester. Their response: Subaru of America does not recommend any of these battery boosters, as we have not tested and approved them for our vehicles. They go on to say that if you use one and it damages the vehicle (burns wires, zaps computer, etc.), your warranty won't cover fixing the damage. Beware ! :surprise:

"...I get zapped then come back from the dead, break loose from my chains, and rain havoc, and pain upon the unsuspecting..." For a second I thought you were describing how you buy a car. ;)

I am off with good behavior... I will be happy to reply to any post I have a opinion on and will be happy to respect all members and rules Now see... the rehabilitation process can work with some of the inmates. Welcome back greenpea. ;) The overall decline in car sales, and everything else, seems to have affected the "Haunted House" business as well. Sales in the "Haunted House" I worked in this weekend were down almost 22%. Reported attendance at the Louisville Zoo's "Worlds Largest Halloween Party" was down nearly 50%. We still cleared about $1,500 for my kids school, which is pretty good. I had the greenpea room.... a prisoner in the electric chair. I get zapped then come back from the dead, break loose from my chains, and rain havoc, and pain, upon the unsuspecting. :surprise: Next year I plan on doing a "Car Salesmens Room". Any ideas that doesn't include polyester?

Just got back from a two week 6323km (3950mi) trip, Campbell River- Whitehorse-Skagway return in our 07 LT that had 7000km on it when we left. We were four- two adults and two teenagers. What a perfect car. Had a big roof carrier on with all our camping gear and I know the Passat I was thinking about buying would not have done as well at twice the price. The only thing was the brake shudder that happened on hard braking- even that was not consistent- will be getting that fixed soon. Congrats to GM for a real sleeper. By the way, I put a strip of expanded metal in front of the rad to catch stones, affixing it with zap straps- worked great.

Won't even fly there - these posts get zapped by users on craigslist all the time, even when posted outside of the automotive section. It seems that even non-car people have common sense :)
