Re: A/C disappointment [stanaz]

I also live in Tucson, It does get hot (but not five months of 100+ temperatures as an earlier poster claimed), and Tucson WILL will reveal any shortcomings in an A/C system. We are talking about outside temperature here, but more relevant is solar radiation. Most people out here in AZ use high quality window tints to deal with the solar gain. They work well. However, when you are headed toward the West or have an overhead sun, the 06 Civic's A/c will struggle as the front windshield makes for an excellent greenhouse. I suppose that if Honda engineered their A/C for the most extreme conditions, it would be oversized and impractical the rest of the time. With the population growth in the Southwest, perhaps Honda should consider a Desert option that would consist of an Eglass windshield and ventilated seatbacks, which are terrific. I think its interesting that Honda offers heated seats on many models, but not one Honda offers the ventilated seatbacks. I know roughly the size of desert communities such as Palm Springs, Las Vegas and Tucson/Phoenix. Is Fargo, ND really that big?
Trailering

How does your Colorado do pulling a trailer? Do you shift to 3rd or do you use it in Drive? I find I have to use 3rd or the tranny will shift in and out of overdrive. Also in 3rd makes you drive slower on the highway due to high RPMs. I am just pulling a 5X8 trailer with a ATV on it.

Just got notice that the wizzard is filing bankrupcy. I've been waiting for them to pay on a claim from Oct 2004! File with BBB in Ohio and they said they could do nothing and please let them know what happens. (Lotta help they were). All customer service would do is give me a address to mail a complaint to which I did.

Where is the outside temperature sensor for the the rearview mirror? My seems to have a problem when it sits in the sun. The outside temp is 70 and it reads 40. After about 10 minutes it might go to 45. But when the truck sits in the garage overnight the temp is right on in the morning. :confuse:
Noisy blinker relay
by ndfar on Wed Dec 22 10:36:04 PST 2004
My blinker relay sounds like a loud clock ticking. Is it just mine or are others like this also. I tried to locate the relay and it seems to be in the trim that wraps around the instrument cluster. How is this held on? Clips of some sort?
Extended Warranty
by ndfar on Tue Mar 02 11:24:11 PST 2004
Just got a call from the shop, car is done. My cost is $533.50 minus $75 I have to wait for reimbursement for car rental. The warranty company (Platinum Warranty Corporation)got a tranny and its suppose to have a 5 yr warranty on it but the dealer stated that it looked like a used transmission because the gasket didn't look new and there was a note in the box to change them and filter (my cost plus oil). So if this is a used tranny how many miles are on it? If it goes again sounds like another $500. Well good luck on your decisions on extended warranties.
