Trip 1 424 miles 12.8 gas = 33.1 75 mph cruise all the way trip 2 405 miles 11.5 ga. = 35.2 70 mph cruise all the way ( with rain & head wind) Ill report thurs going back to Phx... thx caaz Neato. You guys make we wish mine wasn't put away, and I had someplace to go. I'm going to have to make a special effort in the spring to take a long cross country trip and never go faster than 65mph just to see if I can get to 40mpg or not ( we'll make another club, called the "Super Impossibles", for anyone who can regularly pull off that! :) )

I fill up this way and have for years. I've never had a problem. Sometimes i'll find a pump that is really stiff...so its hard to fill up, but usually i go to the same station which has an easy flowing handle. Anyway, trip # 2..... 405 miles 11.5 gas. 35.2 Mpg ..70 mph all the way...cruise control as always, Phoenix to So Cal, it did rain a bit which i think caused a lil less mpg than i would have normally recieved, also about a 20 mph head wind. So so far Trip 1 424 miles 12.8 gas = 33.1 @ 75 mph cruise all the way trip 2 405 miles 11.5 ga. = 35.2 @ 70 mph cruise all the way ( with rain & head wind) Ill report thurs going back to Phx... thx caaz

I met James Gardner's brother while he was filming a movie at NAS North Island in California. Got my picture taken with him too. I wish I would have saved the base paper it was in. Saw George Hamilton back in 1979 on a flight from Panama city Panama to Miami. What a tan! Also saw Danny Glover in first class in a flight from Baltimore to Dallas. Very serious guy, didn't even smile. I have Bernie Kosar's autograph, he touched my youngest boy's head as he gave him back the autograph. Nice man, very polite and not a prima donna like Thurman Thomas. He disappointed badly. My youngest used to root for the Bills and when Thomas was in town we went to see a celebrity softball game where Bernie was also at. When the kids went up to Thurman he was very stand offish. He told the kids "I don't do autographs unless they pay me." That was the end of that fan era. Oh, same thing with Steve Garvey. :shades:
Whats with the gas lunatics?

Any negative posts about the size of this vehicle, the gas mileage, impact on the ozone layer, etc... should be deleted. In our family of five (three active boys, coach & sportsman dad and gardner mom) and two dogs (akitas), we NEED a large SUV! Unfortunately we dont have the economic luxury of buying an extra vehicle for the days when one of us just needs to go to work or just run to the 7-11. So yes, on those days it may appear that I could have purchased a civic, but if you catch us on most days our Sienna and soon Sequoia are doing what they were ment to --- carrying big dogs and their food; bags of soccer balls, cones, my kids and the occasional extra kid that needs a ride to practice ; large bags of soil, mulch and fertilizer; three boys who,,, sometimes change into cubscout unifoms in the back seat and on and on and on and on and on...... Try this with a Passant as we did for years and you will kiss the hot tail pipe of a large SUV......
no need for window etching

gardner: I do not see the need at all for window etching. What is vehicle shield pkg? May also not be needed, if you want to save some money.

the only history that really matters for value is a) celebrity history and b) racing history. And Frank Sinatra's gardner's station wagon doesn't count, nor does Amy Grant's Gremlin. But Seinfeld's old Porsche does (or did at one time---and it was a top notch car to boot).
