Drove the Saturn Astra very nice roomy handles great and ery little noise (another priority) but no matter how I adjusted seat after only 2 hrs. back acted up. If the dealer started at invoice, did you get them to go lower? I live in Erie, PA and was trying to see how likely i can get one below invoice plus the rebates. I noticed in Pitt, Pa they are taking 7k off, but the warrantly started on them in sept.

Wobbly you knooooooooow I pushed for them to total the car, but it was $2k away from the threshold of being considered a total loss. The way they explain it is the cost to repair has to be at least 50% of the value of the vehicle. So, i'm back at square one. Hopefully I wont have to deal with too much of a hassle with trying to get them to pay me back the depreciated cost of the vehicle. My car is currently at a body shop that does the DVR for free so, I've asked that they start preparing my report. This has been the WORST ever experience dealing with my own insurance "ERIE" stay clear. These people are similar to Hyundai dealerships by thinking they can treat their customers any way and expect that bad news doesn't travel fast. I still would like some feedback on whether I should look at the 09 instead of just replacing my 08. Anyone????
Re: Carman: Looking for help on M35 lease [ghstudio]
by stunatu22 on Thu Sep 11 17:29:42 PDT 2008
GHStudio....Thanks for such a quick response! My accountant suggested to lease the vehicle as I am self employed and the entire amount could be written off monthly - that's why I am giving up on the $6000 off the purchase of the M35. The $704/month does include all taxes (8.75% (ouch!) - erie county in new york state ) & bank fee ($595.00) that I rolled into the lease. The rate is 1.160 (that doesn't make sense to me) according to the paperwork he sent me and the residual is 50% or $24,512.50 Now does this sound like a good deal or am i getting screwed? :confuse: Look forward to your repsonse

I'd give almost anything to have a telescoping wheel. Long legs with average arms makes for lots of moving around. When oh when will we have it? -Dan-
kia rondo
by palko on Thu Aug 07 10:49:18 PDT 2008
I rented a Kia Rondo (2007,v-6) for a weekend trip to the beach @ Presque Isle Park in Erie,pa. The combined city/highway mileage was 23 mpg. Most of the highway was @ 70-75 mph with 3 people and a load of beach gear. This rental had 28000 miles on it and i did notice it had warped brake rotors when hard braking. Other than that it handled well. Far better than my 2004 chevy tracker 4wd. The v-6 had plenty of power. I'm thinking of buying a 2008. Now I'm torn between the 2.4L 4 cyl and the 2.7L v-6. Does anyone have any preference over either one? Plus I'd like to hear any experiences you may have with this vehicle...thanks..palko :shades:
