Thanks, Joe! I think I'll check a few auto customizing places around town to see what they think...it sure would be helpful to have a photo of it installed, or a diagram...so any installers can see what they've got to work with! :confuse:

Just got back from a trip from Dallas, TX to Fayetteville, AR. Trip computer showed 32 on the way up and 30 on the way back. Manual computation showed overall average of 29.5. Most driving was done at 70-75 MPH. Had about 20 minutes of creaping or sitting still in OK on the way up and a 25-30 MPH headwind on the way back. Drove through Fort Smith twice and some driving in Fort Smith and about 10 minutes of creaping along or sitting still. Filled up with 93 octane before leaving Dallas but could only find 91 octane when filling up in AR.
SUZUKI AERIO WAGON SX
by imalex2u on Thu Oct 02 06:39:33 PDT 2008
I have a 2005 Suzuki Aerio Wagon SX. I notice that the 1st half of the tank on the gage goes down extremelly fast. at around 100 miles my car's gas tank gage comes down to 1/2. Then, it will give me around 190 miles for the rest of the tank. I was concerned because I have never seen this before on any car and I am also thinking that I may have a leak. Can somebody provide me with some light on this matter? Thank you, Alex

Sorry this happened to you. DH and I had this happen when we were very young and he was just a week shy of going to basic training. It was Fayetteville NY Dodge dealer. It was only $100 but what made it worse was this guy knew that back then $100 meant not eating for a little bit or the baby going without diapers until the next pay. I finally did get the money back but mostly because I went to Better Business and lodged the complaint. It wasn't so much about the money even though long ago it was tight (now why is that cycle coming back again... :) ) It was more about having a record of faulty business practices on them and maybe if enough came in, they would have to change that shoddy practice. Either way, lodge a complaint. I agree that if you did go thru your credit card, I'd stop payment. The only time you should ever plunk money down, and this is even an if, if they have ordered your car and you have a deal on money. Until you get to the point where your final contract is there with the final deal, keep your pocket book in your bag.

That's pretty shocking. When there are dealerships selling Sonatas for $2000 below invoice before even applying any rebates to have one do this is crazy. I can't believe they'll sell any unless they are going to run "$8k off sales!!!" On the other hand, if this becomes a trend(I don't think it will) it could be a signal that Hyundai has really arrived so to speak. Usually that tactic is only used when certain cars are in extremely high demand due to popularity and/or short supply. Neither applies to the Sonata right now IMO. OoooR...... Fayetteville, NC has a huge military population. Could it be that because Hyundai is offering a $1000 military rebate these dealers are looking to take advantage of their somewhat captive audience? If true, to me it would be the epitome of slimy ethics. It would be very interesting if this is happening in any other areas around large military reservations. If so, it should be brought to the attention of local media. I bet that would put a stop to that kind of crap.
