Re: White CX-7 Rust Problem [wannamurano]: by dmele426 on Tue Jun 17 07:32:11 PDT 2008; i purchased my cx-7 GT / blue 12/08. already i found rust on the doors, specifically the area where the door hinge is connected to the body. The screws, nuts and bolts, look rusted and because I have a light blues color on my car, the rust is noticeable.. i called dealershhip and mazda but they do not seem to think is rust. i am taking my car in for an inspection next week. :confuse:

anyone replace their car radio and speakers?: by dmele426 on Tue Jun 17 07:28:19 PDT 2008; i am looking to replace my factory installed radio with a Kenwood HD/CD/MP3 radio. Any advice on what tools I need to get the job done? I am also replacing all the speakers in my car, any advice will be appreciated!

checking for rust: by dmele426 on Tue Jun 17 07:25:07 PDT 2008; I happen to be washing my car about 1 month ago, as i checked the crevices and areas around doors and seals, I came across nuts and bolts that have an exessive amount of rust. To be exact these nuts and bolts are in area where people would never check under nomal circumstances. I called mazda and I am taking my car in for an inspection next week. i am a bit dissapointed at Mazda, my car is only 6 months old with 8,500 miles.

Have not had problems, I just went on a 1200 mile trip for a week, and I was doing about 70 miles average and my fuel consumption on highway was 22 MPG. I tested premium gas on the first 2 weeks I own the car and I felt the smell of raw gas several times, i contacted the delaership and they were upset at me for using premium gas. Had something to do with the engine management system and the the software. dmele72406@nyc.rr.com

My only issues witht he car are: - Gas consumption 15/21 (without using AC) not sure how much different it would be if i use the AC. -The car is a bit noisey, it seems to lack noise absorpition material all around. -Last but not least, if you have kids, consider that the back seat is a bit tight on leg room. I have 7K miles on my car, i got it x-mas 2007 and I really like it. However, if I had known about the gas consumtion issue, i think I would have bought the 2008 CRV, which is an awesome car as well. My wife owns the 2007 CRV LX and the car is great, not many options but very family friendly for our kids. :blush: if you have any more questions or concerns let me know dmele72406@nyc.rr.com

black smoke: by dmele426 on Tue Apr 08 09:21:51 PDT 2008; i have not heard the noise from the engine that most people describe. However, i just started to realize that my tail pipes are black. I cleaned them for the 1st time yesterday and I am keeping tabs on how long before they get black. is too much of the black stuff mean that my gas is not being burnt efficiently?? do i need to mention it to the dealer? i have 5k miles on my car, 2nd oil change was done today. any adivse?
