Honda On Grand. They are located in Elmhurst, Illinois. I obtained several e-quotes and they were the lowest. I went in and asked for the Internet sales rep. who sent me the quote. It's the 2nd car we have purchased from them ('06 Pilot) and we are very happy with the dealership.

Hi, Just another bad experience with Honda on Grand, elmhurst, il. The rear bumper of my brand new Odyssey wasn't assembled properly (moving part) so, the paint on the corner peeled off. This is a manufacturing defect. Went to the service desk, the rep saw the car, told me that, the manager has to approve. Made no attempts to call the manager. I found the manager (who is walking around), he makes a comment "you have an option - we don't do body shop. You have to take it to the body shop" and started walking away. I told him it is a brand new Odyssey and manufacturing defect. He left with no reply. Went back to the service desk, stand there for another 10 minutes while rep is sitting at desk going through some paperwork. The rep doesn't pay any attention. I asked him, what's going on, what are you going to do. He says "I don't know, I can't find the manager". Still sits in the chair, makes no attempt. I said, "then you have to find him". He replies "I got to wrap - I am leaving in 15 minutes". I said "I am standing at service desk for 20 minutes, someone should attend me". He replies "why don't you call on Monday". I left. This happened at 5:15PM on Friday and they are open till 9:00 PM. Called Honda customer service - "Sorry to hear. It shouldn't happen. We can't help. You have to go to the dealer. I can find you another dealer in your location". I said "no. thanks. I have access to the internet".

about a half hour west of chicago Depending on what you mean by Chicago that could put you anywhere from Maywood to Aurora. My best guess puts you somewhere in the area of Downers Grove. Do any of you expert economist actually live in the midwest? Yeah, Bachelors in Economics from Elmhurst College class of 91 and still live nearby. As I said most of the Midwest has been hit by economic hard times and has been for some time. But for you you are in the Chicago Metro area which has the great benefit of being a huge metro are with multiple industries which make it weather out economic bad times better than most areas. Even with that the Chicago area is hitting the skids economically. Go to Rockford, Peoria or the Quad cities and things are not as rosie. Get into the rural areas in between and it gets worse.

I bought mine from Honda Grand in Elmhurst,Illinois on 09/21/2008 Sale Price: $28700 Doc Fee: $150.00 Tax: $2345. New Plates: 143.00 OTD: $31,338.00 But it was not on APHC special 2.99 financing , also finance guy tricked me and sold extended 7/100k/0Ded warranty for $1885 (which i know is a ripoff). I Read the fine prints and it has 60 day cancellation time period. I am looking into online warranty but not sure which one to get. Dealer actually warned me of buying any warranties other than the dealer, mentioning that Honda will not honor it if they win the class action lawsuit. Is that True? Also he added $3500 in price cost adding taxes on that which I argued. so the taxes little went up to $200. There is always a Catch 22 with these guys no matter what you do.
Purchasing tomorrow - Either EXL or EXL - RES
by samani83 on Tue Sep 23 09:33:41 PDT 2008
I am pulling the trigger tomorrow and will make up my mind tonight on whether I want an EXL or EXL - RES. I have received many quotes and have it norrowed down to one dealership, Grand Honda in Elmhurst, IL, who is offering the best rates in the area. Price for EXL Base Price - 24,675 (Including Destination) + TT and all the other crap (I'm in Chicago so I will have to pay the insane 9% tax on the car price as well as the 3500 incentive.) OTD PRICE - 28,320.04 Price for EXL - RES Base Price - 26,475 (Including Destination) + TT and all the other crap (I'm in Chicago so I will have to pay the insane 9% tax on the car price as well as the 3500 incentive.) OTD PRICE - 30,286.54 I asked if any additional accessories will be thrown in and the answer was no since this is the absolute low they can go for the price. Tell me what you guys think. Any suggestions/tips will be helpful.
Re: LX at 19,975 in CHicago suburb, how did I do? [yuguodaxia]
by chicagoray on Sun Sep 21 11:01:02 PDT 2008
No I did not get the financing offer. It is either 3500 rebate or special financing, you can not have both.BTW if you choose the 3500 rebate, you also need to pay tax for the rebate, it is 3500*8%. The dealer is Honda on Grand in Elmhurst. I went there because they quoted me in email, other dealers only called and said they could also do around the same price, so I think you pretty much can get around this price everywhere, perhaps even lower. I choose to apply for a new plate because my old sticker is going to expire, transfer is 80 plus 78 for new sticker. The break down is: 19975 - 1700 + tax + 150 doc fee + 143 new plate and sticker fee = 20332 OTD
