Just completed a trip from Pittsburgh to Niagara Falls. With cruising speed of 75 MPH via cruise control and a moderate cargo load of baggage, two adults, and one infant we ran around 19 MPG.

well i always shut off the engine when im gasing up but it doesnt do it then it does it every time under half a tank of gas... I am in Ontario, not far from Buffalo/Niagara Falls NY. I use all season tires but honestly I don't feel real safe in it in the winter. Last year I went off the highway as I was trying to get on it at 11pm! It scared the sh*t out of me! Thankfully I went to the side of the highway and not into the transport truck that was on my left hand side and luckily didnt go through the fence when I lost control! Not very happy with this car at all!

I was informed that the "Water Doctor" fixed the leak in my Freedom Top a few weeks ago. I was driving this past weekend and it seemed like Niagara Falls in my jeep. Well it is off for round 2 at the dealer. I am convinced I have one of those vehicles that will never be fixed. Luckily in my state it is only three unresolved trips to the dealer to qualify for the Lemon Law. I have mixed feelings about this as the Wrangler is an absolute gas to drive.

Awesome! I am glad to see that you are happy with your Chevrolet. I bet you H is almost as efficient as that Passat too. We are really happy with our H too. We just came back form a camping trip from Niagara falls. Loaded with two adults, gear, coolers, two bicycles and a black lab. Great trip, be gentle yet firm with that 4 banger and it will last a long time (hopefully during that trip you had the oil changed). That is one thing I fail to relaize. when i do a LONG trip, have it serviced (Lube, oil, inspection etc) duing the trip. The brake thing, with all that weight and that many KM that was the only issue, you shuold be proud of that little chevrolet. :D

I just completed a 2000 mile round trip from Central NJ to SW Ontario via Niagara Falls. I also did a few day trips, including one to the northern outskirts of Toronto. My 2006 Sedona EX (now with 30,000 miles on the odometer) averaged 25 MPG. On a couple of the earlier legs of the trip up - on long flat stretches of pavement (validated using GPS altimeter) at approx. 55MPH - the trip computer stayed at 30MPG for 25 to 30 mins at a time (I reset it a few times). I reset it again about 200 miles into the trip and it read 25MPG when I got to the destination. On the way home, I reset the trip computer when leaving and then approx. 750 miles later (made a few indirect stops on the way home), the average MPG was about 25MPG. My conclusion (an obvious one) is that the Sedona loves long straight stretches of highway! Mileage dipped to about 19MPG up the steepest hills on the PA turnpike and I81 (@55 MPH). At home, the van is driven in suburban traffic (with a mix of highway, stop and go and short trips). It averages about 18MPG. Overall, I was very happy with the fuel economy on this trip.
