Car Show Pulled Us In
by jguarfn on Sun Apr 30 01:32:16 PDT 2006
We saw the 2006 HCH last week at a car show in Albuquerque and were impressed by it and the Prius. Toyota told us it would be a 6 month wait. We've been Odessey owners for the past 7 years and figured it couldn't hurt to ask with the pump prices pushing $3/gal. The Rio Rancho dealer had one with Nav that really didn't appeal to us, but 3 hours later we drove home at nearly the same payment level. The navigation features are pretty cool from the descriptions of the book and we look forward to putting on some miles. Jguarfn :shades:

My wife has been fed up with the gas prices and the Ody. It's our second and we've only had it a year. Went into Perfection Honda in Rio Rancho NM and asked if they had any Civic Hybrids as we saw one at the car show here last week. They had 1 with Nav that we could take a look at. 3 hours later we have traded the Ody for the Hybrid at nearly the same payment we came in with and no money down. Didn't really care about the Navigation system but after reading the stuff on how it works I hope the wife will let me drive it. Our price was around 25K as well. Passed on the warranty, we count on them having figured it out by now, with 3 years of hybrid civics under their belt. Jguarfn :shades:

Ok..so I'm bored here at work. I ran a locate for AZ, NM and CA for a Atomic Blue Civic Sedan EX/Nav. AZ-zip, zilch..nada NM-one being built for Perfection in Rio Rancho midApril CA a few not many but 8-10 on the ground and a few more being built. If you are set in stone on Atomic Blue, you might have a dealer order one for you to be built. Good luck.
'05 G6 GT
by elecblueg6gt on Sun Jul 31 19:41:20 PDT 2005
Thanks to the host and creator, I purchased an Electric Blue G6 GT. 17" Chometech wheels Monsoon stereo with XM radio. Side curtain airbags Remote start To begin with, I'm outside sales, so I do some driving in So. Calif. The rest is fly and rent. I came out of a 94 Camry with 150000k miles, so I kept that car to leave at the airport and reduce some of the miles on the G6. The color is beautiful and have received many positive comments. I've waxed it so have gotten a real good look at the paint. There are a "few" bubbles in the paint, but I'm being overly picky. Quite a bit of orange peal in several areas though. The Camry's Champange paint is still in excellent condition and almost no orange peal. I bring this up as a comparison only, and not a complaint. The wheels are very nice to look at. The car corners very well with the continental 225/50R/17's. The tires did make more noise than they should, so the dealer will be replacing both rear tires. The second opinion I read on this web-site pertaining to the Monsoon stereo was off the mark, IMHO. With the system adgusted to each band, it performed nearly as good as what I had in my Camry. Upgraded stereo of course. I no longer listen to FM radio, so I can't really comment on that. I'm an XM Radio Addict. 200 watts is most likly max output, but at any rate, turn anything to the limit and you should expect some distortion. Nigel's amp being the exception. In case you don't know Nigel, his amp goes to 11. No report on the air bags, as I haven't had the need to use them yet. Phew! The remote start is a cool feature, it's been over 90 everyday for the last few weeks. If I leave the A/C cranked, it's cranked when I start the car. Good enough for me. The fit and finish could be a little better. I do notice the lower window moldings not meeting very well. Gas milage currently is at 24.0. I've driven quite a bit in the city, and perhaps the gas pedal has hit the floor a couple of times. I've never owned a GM made product. Thanks to Shelley at Rio Rancho GMC/Pontiac for being so helpful. GM Buy Power isn't all that is was cracked up to be. I drove test drove a Mazda 6S sedan. With the A/C on and around 25 mph, I punched the pedal. The car did a nose dive like it was going to stall, then around 2 1/2 secs. later it took off. I tried it several times and received the same response. The G6 hesitated approx. 1/2 sec. That helped quite a bit in moving me over to GM. Sorry this post is so long, but thanks for everyone's contribution.
Honda Passport Starting Problem
by nmwanderer on Thu Jun 23 09:05:28 PDT 2005
I have a 1999 Honda Passport. It starts fine in the morning when the weather is cool. In the evening, when the outside temp is over 90, it won't turn over. When I turn the key, nothing happens. I have to turn the wheels to get it to start. I have taken it in to the dealership and a local AAA certified service station. Neither has been able to solve the problem. Has any other Passport owner has this problem.
