Thanks for the heads up on what you paid. I'm thinking of going in and offering $500 over invoice and hoping they'll settle at $750. Looking to order a Premium Plus Avant with the 18" sports package in meteor grey (that color is sharp!). I really wish they'd offer the S-Line pkg in the Premium tiers but I guess that would take away the Prestige business. Funny you mention the exaust not being chromed as that's one of the first things I noticed as well. I would think there will be an after market kit for the chrome tips. One nice thing about the Avant though is that the exaust is split and not on the same side.

I just opened conversations with my local dealer here in the San Diego area and they said they were sticking close to MSRP right now...I think I can wait. Where are you located? I'd love to talk business with an Audi dealer who would give me invoice.

i was offerd $33,300 + TTL for a TL-S in so cal at two dealers. HOehn Carlsbad and Cerritos Acura. got tot hat w/out much hassle. still trying to get down more but no one is budging. i think this may be it here in so cal at least until 09s hit the lots. any of you consider wiating to see/sit/test drive an 09. they justlook so ugly...and 4000 lbs... if you are looking at a TL-S the new TL will be slower. morelike an RL I think.

Acura in Carlsbad quoted the following for a new 2009 RL (this was NOT some loaded up with tech/CMBS/etc.. this was a BASE RL) MSRP was like $50k $5000 down $662/month including 7.75% tax. seemed WAY high. i toldthem that the Acura website advertised 3600 down and $549/month + tax which wuld be about $599/month.. their "deal" was about $3600 MORE over the life of the lease. they said that was because the advertised deal was for 10k and THIS deal was for 12k. 10k --> 12k = $3600?? I walked out.

I too have been shopping around for Sequoias from the Los Angeles down to the Carlsbad area. The best deal I've received is $11,500 off MSRP. I've been checking the inventories and they aren't selling many. I think I will hold out for a better deal in August..hopefully!

Thanks. I did try out an Independent in my area (Carlsbad Muffler). Excellent news, the muffler was hanging askew. Fixed in 5 mins for $10 ! What a bargain. Thanks for your help. sold my car to a happy friend.
