Not sure if this has been posted before, but Goodyear is now offering the ComforTred tire in 225/60HR18. I put these tires on my 95 Ford Taurus wagin last year and it's like a new car.

Thanks for the advice. Finally agreed to a brand new (not demo) LTD AWD with DVD, Safety package, reverse sensing, moonroof, Aux climate, 7 passenger seating. Out of pocket $811 (1st month payment, tags and 3 year registration fee)- $429 / month (taxes included) and the free maintenance program (wife was afraid of the remote starter with 3 small kids in the house.) Much better deal, maybe not the best but I can live with it.
Re: 2006 - Freestyle Limited AWD lease [minaldo1]

I would love to hear Car_man's thoughts too, because this is a better lease deal than I was offered on a demo. Same down, $29000 sales price, $429/ month. Where did you get thsi offer and any tips I can use?
Lease offer

Looking into a Freestyle Limited for my wife (she has to have the heated seats) and not getting close to some of the prices I've seen here. So far best offer is a 3 year lease on a demo (5900 miles) for $429/month with $1700 down. It is fully loaded but I am thinking the discount for a demo would be pretty significant and this sounds like a new car lease price. Anyone with recent pricing experiences?
Re: Timing Belt is a Wear Item, Not Warranty [riez]

Riez,   You're right. And thanks. The car's a 2000 GLS with 14,200+ miles. My wife couldn't understand the service department's explanation of the charge and was becoming aggravated. So I called Customer Assistance and was directed to the owner's manual (page 5-5) maintenance chart and there it was. So, not only does it pay to read the manual but also this web site!   I just thought of another question. The rental agency only had a Santa Fe available for us to use while the Sonata was undrivable. I found it very comfortable and, surprisingly for a rental, great on gas mileage. Due to physical problems, it's becoming increasingly more difficult for my wife to enter and exit the Sonata comfortably. When the Sonata was ready, I gave the Tucson a quick glance before leaving the dealership. From what the saleswoman told me, it's slightly smaller than the Santa Fe and, unless I misunderstood her, not much differently priced than the Santa Fe. She also said I could get a better deal price-wise on a leftover Santa Fe. The basic issue for us is the higher seating. We don't do a lot of hauling or need the extra space. Does anyone out there have any advice/suggestions on these two vehicles? Other makes or models?   Thanks again.
