Mercury had a Plexiglas-roofed counterpart called the Sun Valley.

I love those old Victorias, but I think 'Crown" Victoria came way after 1955!! Remember the plexiglass roof Victoria? Was it a called a 'Skyliner'? Mercury's name for it was 'Sun Valley'.

Windshield cracks like mentioned you will get regardless of what you drive some get more than others. My 00 Accord 1, 04 Forester 3, 06 CRV 2, 09 Corolla 0, so far. Rock chips and windshield cracks will depend on how high or low the car sits when i do get a crack i get it fill ASAP so it wont spread i missed one on my CRV that cost me a windshield when it started spreading. That was was located in a area where i could not see and when the sun came out one chilly morning it grew like a wildfire. MNF

I had a 1990 & 1993 Chevrolet 3/4 ton 4X4 PU trucks. They were both great trucks. Sold the 1990 to a friend in Alaska and bought the 93 out of Seattle. I would still have that truck if not for a big buck in Sun Valley Idaho. My 2005 was just not as solid built. Though it was not a 4x4 or 3/4 ton. My Suburban was the 4X4 1500 and it was very solid built. Maybe I just got lucky. I don't remember spending a dime other than routine maintenance. Which is much lower cost at the dealers than Toyota. Including my latest 05 GMC. The 3 oil changes I had before selling that truck were all free with coupons the dealer sent me. No such thing with Toyota. I don't think I will continue using them for oil changes. $60 to change oil is a bit much with single weight cheapo oil.

the Campus of ASU - how bout the entire Valley of the Sun?? And it's not just bicyclists and pedestrians. On my way home from work I go down Broadway just past Gilbert rd (for those of you who live in the PHX area) and it's like the entire street is one huge crosswalk. Every time there is at least 3 or 4 people trying to get across the road. They are standing in the turn lane and they wait for traffic to clear and the they keep going across the street. If you're lucky you'll catch one saunterig like he has all the time in the world and not caring that traffic has to slow to make sure they don't hit him...

Her immediate reaction was, "It just feels so big." My wife and I hit a big deer in Sun Valley Idaho with my 3/4 ton 4X4. It was not driveable so I traded it at the local Chevy dealer on a new 1998/99 Suburban. We test drove a Tahoe before deciding. We both liked driving the Suburban. From then on she drove the Suburban and I ended up with her little Camry. I hated driving it but what you do to please your better half. When we divorced I kept the Suburban as I had bought it in my name only. She was not pleased getting stuck with her little Camry. I did offer to buy her one of the first Prius that came into San Diego. She drove it and hated it. My wives have all liked bigger vehicles. I am the same. I would buy a small diesel car to run errands. None available so far. We may replace the LS400 with an E320 CDI, if it ever quits or needs major repair. It is 19 years old and runs great.
