back from Alaska!: by kate5000 on Mon Aug 23 11:38:28 PDT 2004; I was vacationing in Alaska, and it was great. So unusually warm it felt more like Hawaii! A lot of Subarus there, and in small towns 2/3 of all cars are old trusty Loyales/GLs/DLs. I've seen so many "copies" of both my old Loyales, in "misty dawn" and "mica ruby" colors, it felt surreal. Good Morning Terry!: by mpp2 on Sun Dec 21 08:49:21 PST 2003; And Happy Holidays to you and your family. My wife totalled our Honda Thursday night, so we are now looking for a new car. We had a 2000 Accord SE sedan with 53K miles. It was ruby red w/ Auto, 4 cyl, ABS alloys, etc. We live in the lower Hudson Valley, NY. I don't know what the ins payoff will be, but we should know Mon or Tues. She swerved to avoid a deer and wedged the car into a ditch between the guard rail and the trees. Luckilly, she walked away with nothing more than a couple of bruises, thank God. Anyway, we are looking at purchasing either a 2002 or 2003 Acura 3.2 TL. What is a good price for one of these with avg miles for the year? We are looking at either black, gray, silver or white. How much extra would a Type S cost over a base TL? And does the NAV system add anything to the price? Many, many thanks in advance.

GL'89: by kate5000 on Wed Jan 29 06:20:08 PST 2003; Brings good memories of my old Loyale'92... is it Mica Ruby color or a different shade of red? Note how well interior held up. When I was selling my Loyale, everybody commented on a good shape of upholstery, even though I did not use any covers. And that car survived 2 children, plus it has never been garaged.

arrgh... need another horseshoe: by kate5000 on Tue May 29 07:31:02 PDT 2001; for my old Loyale. At the shopping parking lot, someone has "keyed" (scratched with a key or some other sharp object) one of the doors on my old wagon. Two long wavy deep ugly scratches across the door. Grrr. Does not look like a shopping cart damage, more like teenagers having "fun". I parked as usual at the remote empty part of the lot, to avoid door dings, but I guess remote is not always a benefit. Anyone knows a CHEAP way to fill the scratches and make them at least less visible? It's an old car but I took great care of its finish (very nice burgundy "Mica Ruby" color, btw), and it's a pain to see it vandalized.
