Re: Ohio dealers [mtnman1]

Thanks for the heads up. I drove to Ft. Wayne Ind. Got a GLS for 17,000 after rebate. I know it's not the best deal around, but they were great to work with compared to my local dealer. The local offered $500 under invoice then reneged and went to $150 under invoice. I couldn't leave fast enough. Glenbrook offered to match any offers, but needed a buyers order. Good luck getting a buyer's order! Although Glenbrook sent me one. Go figure.

The helicopter commercial that people were mentioning earlier flat out lied. It is the commercial where a black lexus is dropped from a helicopter 4000 ft off of the ground. It is supposed to hit the ground 5 seconds later. Another white lexus stands 4000 ft away from where the black lexus is to land. As the black lexus is released, the engine is gunned on the white lexus. The white lexus just clears the bullseye an instant before the black lexus crashes on the target. However, with a common equation and knowledge of gravity, the falling lexus simply wouldn't travel 4000 ft in 5 seconds. In 5 seconds, the car would only fall 400 feet. Lexus is off by a factor of 10. See the first equation on this site http://www2.glenbrook.k12.il.us/gbssci/phys/Class/1DKin/U1L6b.html and plug in 32.17ft/s^2 for "a" and 5s for "t" if you want to check for yourself. Yes I'm a big nerd, but it didn't sound quite right to me. If anyone can figure out how to make this a lawsuit against Lexus, give me a hollar.
