Looks like that buyer from Omaha will be purchasing our 318ti. Since we're out of town next week, he plans on flying out the following week and driving it home. Anything could happen between now and then, but he's done his research and seems to be a stand-up guy. He's the one that paid for the inspection at the local BMW dealer and was real reasonable about that "Action Plan" the dealer came up with. So, we'll be down to four, which I'm very happy about.
Thanks for the feedback - it is good to hear that such a report is not unusual and doesn't by any means indicate that there are $2k of repairs required for the car. I just hope the potential buyer also sees it for what it is - he left me an email this morning that he would call me tonight, so at least he's not running. And I don't know where I got the idea he's in Florida - he's actually just over in Omaha, so that seems a bit more reasonable to make a sale. If anything, I could see taking the list over to my own BMW mechanic and getting his opinion on what is necessary and the related cost and then take that into consideration on the sale price. We'll see.
Hey Car_man, Looking to confirm February lease rates for the 2012 528i xDrvie. Looking at 3 years, 10,000 miles. I appreciate it! :)
Driving to Kansas City, MO tomorrow morning (I live in Omaha, NE) to pick up a 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD Advance package. The car is white with ebony interior, has 2200 miles on it (someone bought it and decided they wanted an SUV). I am paying $38,500 +$249 doc fee. I am trading in my loaded 2006 VW Passat 3.6. Passat has every option except 4motion. I am getting ~$8500 for it (91k miles), the final trade in value will be decided when they see the car. I'm really excited to drive my new girl home!
@spiya I purchased it at Wilde Honda in Waukesha, WI which is very close to Milwaukee, WI. The 2.9% is good for 72 months, non-fluctuating. The crazy thing I purchased it on Saturday evening and yesterday, which was Monday one of the 20 dealers that I asked for quotes called to follow up and asked if I got the quote, which included destination for $23,600!!!! Unfortunately that was one e-mail that didn't make it to me:( I did talk in detail with that dealership and I have the guys contact information. PM if you're serious and I can get his information to you. Wilde Honda gave me 1K more for my trade-in than any other dealership would so if I would have gotten the $23,600 price they probably wouldn't have given me the extra 1K for my trade so it probably would have been a wash. It's about 500 miles from Omaha to Waukesha, but it might be worth your while. Maybe make a road trip of it! Hope this information helps.
