This thread has been very, very helpfull to this guy ! . I've just driven a 2009 Honda Accord and it seems to be a good car. I agree with the concerns voiced by some about it's style. Coming from a 2001 Maxima just now, it also was a style that many weren't too happy with.at the time. But it has run beautifully from day one. I'm ready for a Honda this time for a change and more room.. I was all set to drive a 2009 Camry this week but hold it !!. I can see there are problems in many areas. My last new Camry was a 1992 (V-6) which drove like a dream - never a problem for 5 years. Some Toyota research later showed that those Canada bound Camry cars were assembled in Japan on the Lexus 300 assembly line at the time. Then assembly switched to the US plant later on. Maybe there's a message here for all of us.,. The Consumers Reports are pretty bearish to boot on Camrys these days so Honda seems to win. But I see there are grumbles on the Honda forum about VCM 6 cyl engines which are newer technology as well. Any comments would be appreciated from you shoppers out there. Then I can order new wheels before the snow arrives . - Waterloo Guy

There are only four RTX's available in the five state area. None here in Minnesota. Ken Vance in Eau Claire, WI has a red one Community Honda in Waterloo, IA has a red one Ken Wise in Marshalltown, IA has a red one And Zimbrick in Madison, WI has a white one. There are only 18 2008 Ridgelines left in the state on Minnesota. Mostly RTL and RTL navi.

Hello Sanjay - your experience is identical to my findings with my 2001 Maxima. I find that Shell premium works fine and note ( Canada here ) that there is no ethanol in their Gold premium gasoline at all. Their lower grades have 5-10 % ethanol and that mix causes problems with check lights in hot weather due to high evaporation in the fuel tank. Other brands are blending with ethanol and it's not any different. Best to check what's written on the gas pump fine print and avoid independents who buy gas from any bulk wholesale supplier with mystery blends of refinery crap out there. Esso and Ultramar are reliable premium brands here - Shell in my area gets the nod because of a greater number stations conveniently located. I've pulled the battery connection, too when the check light went on and done the radio and clock resets patiently ! Dealers love selling expensive sensors to unsuspecting people instead of trying to offer simple solutions as above. - Waterloo Guy.
Tires&Rough ride

my 2008 Honda EX 4 door has since new, had a tire problem. Dealer in Waterloo sluffed me off, telling me these Goodyear Eagle R S A ,s were never meant to go 130 KL per hour., & told me to monitor the situation. At my own expense had wheels removed & checked tires & rims for out of round & run off. All 4 where out of round & Goodyear replaced 2 front tires, however problem not compleatey gone, & they damaged my aluminum rims too, despite asking them not to. Dealer also charged $100.00 to do an alignment & correct factory settings@ 3000 kl. have been quotted $ 745.00 to replace tires with Michelin Primacy,s AT 6000kl,s that seems to be a high price to pay. Have any of you had this type of problem ? lloyd

i got goodyear to replace 2 front tires, its better , not perfect like a brand new car should be. Waterloo Honda not only refuses to help , but charged me $ 110.00 for a alignment, that required a lot of adjustment @ 3500 kl.they also damaged my rims in the prosses. HOW DO I HET INTOUCH WITH hONDA cANADA? lpweeks@sympatico.ca

@ 500 K/L I COMPLAINED & WAS TOLD BY DEALER( WATERLOO) THAT TIRES GO OUT OF ROUND IN THE PARKING STORAGE AREA,. @ 3500K/L THEY FINALLY REBALANCED ONE TIRE, IT MADE NO DIFFERENCE @ MY EXPENCE I GOT AN INDEPENDANT TO CHECK ALL TIRES & RIMS FOR RUN OUT & OUT OF ROUND. ALSO REBALANCED THE SAME TIRE. I HAVE 2 OUT OF ROUND TIRES THAT GOODYEAR WILL REPLACE. LLOYD
