I know the Arapahoe Pass area. I thought of the Indian Peaks area as soon as I read 10500 elev but I was thinking of the Brainard Lake entrance. I almost went to the Hessie trailhead last weekend for a snowshoe hike. I'm in Lakewood. Not sure if I'll go to Flatirons or Arapahoe Road to get my LR3, probably picking it up in March or April unless I have trouble getting what I want. Maybe we'll meet when on a Land Rover event next summer. Jack

Fun Racing day...: by doying5 on Thu Feb 13 15:24:38 PST 2003; Hey Mazda fans, Local fans will get the chance to drive their new Mazda6 and Mazdaspeeds at Brainard Raceway in MN. This event is partially sponsored by Donny Brook Racing. It is in June and will include class room instruction before pro drivers take you out on the track in your own car. I don't have all the specs yet as they are still being organized. This was originally being designed for Mazdaspeeds but has been opened up for the 6 too. Email me and I will send on the info as I get it.

Small world, I take weekend trips to the cabin in Brainard during the summer months for Golfing, Boating, Hiking and relaxing. Nice area.... Last year a young women from Brainard won $47Million in the State's Powerball lottery. Didn't know her, but most town folk did.

I lived in a little town near Brainard for a few years as a teen, Staples. I have very fond memories of the area. You're going to have a great weekend!
