Re: V8 Finally Arrived [mame2]: by jaymagic on Fri Sep 26 07:41:17 PDT 2008; This was their first ready for sale V8. It's Arapahoe Hyundai in Centennial, Colorado (So. Denver). They are the largest Hyundai dealer in Colorado. I bought an XG from them in 2002 and my Azera in 07. Never had any problems with either vehicle or really the service department. They were not very knowledgeable initially on the new models, but always worked to get any issues resolved without a fight.

V8 in Denver: by jaymagic on Thu Sep 25 13:20:30 PDT 2008; Just got home from an oil change on my Azera, while there, the service department got delivery of their 1st V8 Genesis -- black on black with technology package. Sticker is at $42,100. For someone interested you might want to call Arapahoe Hyundai (Centennial, Colorado) and talk to them BEFORE they add any dealers installed options. It looks great, huge inside and LUV the 19" wheels. Got to sit in it and check it out, as they were unwrapping it from all the protective film.

I Can't Drive 55!: by lemko on Fri Sep 05 10:15:22 PDT 2008; Colorado deputy clocks VW Beetle at 115 mph The Associated Press LITTLETON, Colo. - A 27-year-old man was being held on $10,000 bond in the Arapahoe County Jail after allegedly speeding up Interstate 25 in a Volkswagen Beetle. An Arapahoe County sheriff's deputy arrested the man on Monday after the deputy said he was clocked driving 115 mph. The deputy attempted to pull over the vehicle, but said he abandoned the pursuit when the driver wouldn't stop. The deputy found the VW crashed on an offramp a few minutes later and saw the suspected driver running through a nearby parking lot. The man and a passenger were taken to a hospital to be examined but were released with no injuries. The man was booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving under restraint, reckless driving and vehicular eluding.

My dealer, Arapahoe Hyundai, has always washed the car upon its return, even if just changing the synthetic oil, which I brought to the shop. And, although it was only necessary once for a 1/2 a day, they gave me a Hyundai loaner (new Santa Fe). Sorry no cookies, but they did have coffee.

Re: Hyundai is no luxury maker [carolinabob]: by jaymagic on Wed Aug 06 15:29:12 PDT 2008; Full agreement. I am looking now at 19 months on my 07 Azera. ( Arapahoe Hyundai, Englewood, CO). And, I had an 02 GL350 from them before the Azera. While I have had only two or three warranty items TOTAL on both cars, I have never had any troubles with my dealership. The sales people were not the most knowledgeable about the GL 350, but they were certainly ok to deal with. Kept every promise and did not try and screw me around. Just did the deals as discussed. The Hyundai service department has been very easy to work with, and pricing is very competitive (even bring my own synth oil and they change it). Again, they had a few blind spots in knowledge early on , but they did get everything right without me having to fight or even complain. Always felt they were on my side. Their (Hyundai only) showroom is small (maybe 3 cars if carefully arranged), but I am happy to recommend them. It's not that I don't like to have a waterfall in my car showroom and comfy leather chairs, its just that I don't want to pay for them. Although I am drooling over the Genesis, I don't see another car purchase for a few years. I do know they have a couple in stock and will be going in, just to check it out. The Genesis review simply confirmed what I have been reading about, and based on my Azera experience, I see no reason to question what Hyundai has produced with the Genesis.
