Re: 2008 Malibu remote start issue [southpaw412]: by 08malibu on Sat Oct 04 17:42:59 PDT 2008; Hey there southpaw....so I just bought a 2008 Chevy Malibu 2LT with 6 cylinder engine, had the exact same problem you described with the noise during remote starting. It was about 40 degrees this morning here in Boston, started the car with the remote start, went outside and noticed an awful sound from the engine. It was like a loud vibration that stopped as soon as I put the key in the ignition. The car only has 480 miles on it. I started the car several times during the day when the air temp was in the 50's and wasnt as noticeable but was still heard. Very aggravating already, had the car for a week....back to Best Chevy in Hingham. Hopefully this will be the last time except for maintenence. Will update when I find out what the problem is.

I have been very happy with there service over he years and I live in Hingham so it is a 5 min drive. Like the sales guy, very up front, give me all the numbers no problem. So I am about to sign, here are the numbers. MSRP 66,625 (Plus the all season floor mats,not sure what they cost, say 150-200 Selling Price 62,375 No money down, 15,000 mi lease, 3 yrs, 981/mo. What do you think???

front differential locking when hot: by davidfugler on Sat Nov 17 06:30:46 PST 2007; Hi. My drivetrain works normal for short drives around town, but after longer drives on highway, the front differential starts sticking so that sharper turns like pulling into a driveway, causes the front end to jump around. It's a 93 grand, with fulltime 4 wheel. Does this sound like a mechanical failure, or just the need for a better lube. Haynes book covers nothing on drivetrain. Any good books out there on troubleshooting and repair for these things?

My salesman (Reitzl Audi in Hingham, MA) told me that my monthly payment would be $479 (24 months) with amount due at start of $1347. He also suggested I purchase the Audi Care pkg for $500 to cover regular maintenance if I were leasing for 36 months at $471/month. Did I miss something or is there really a deal for $359/month with NO money down? Thanks for the other tips too! Woody
