Re: Stock Market Crash? [bigfork]

Would you rather a President running around panicking about a recession? Do you think the President even calmly saying that yes we're in a recession wouldn't trigger further economic trauma? Now in the context of this game, I don't get why people keep bidding up cars in light of our current.....uh......economic downturn. So when consumer confidence is low and dropping, unemployment high and probably rising, consumer debt and foreclosures continuing to rise, the players of this game expect car sales to exceed expectations by several hundred percent?

Your percentile is related to your Overall Net Worth and not to the percentage gained category. We may change that in the future to show % gained percentile. We will double check the % to make sure that this is accurate. If you want to check your percentile, go to the bottom list on the Leaders page (Overall Net Worth) and see the percentile there.

Same here. My February and March percentiles are in the upper ninties but my overall is single digit percentile. Somthing is screwy there. 'Fork

I'm not sure your WoS (I abreviated your new phrase already ;) ) will make up for the newbies. I'm guessing that the majority of newbies bought stock without looking at the rules, realized they weren't going to dominate the game and promptly forgot about CSX never to return again. We now have a glut of one-time players holding onto stock they could care less about. If this theory is true then we won't get back to close to normal sales figures until the initial batch of car futures are retired after the six months and it's only the more experienced players playing the game. That said I'm with Mike in letting this play out for now. It may not result in accurate sales figures for the short term but eventually it'll pan out. 'Fork
