Re: Boston Auto Show [anythngbutgm] by snakeweasel on Sat Jan 14 06:43:57 PST 2012

Anyone going to Chi-town this spring? The auto show? I usually get to it about every other year and I am thinking about this year. However there are not a lot of new cars out there that have piqued my interest. But who knows I might find a few there. IIRC the IAA International Motor show In Frankfort, Germany is the only auto show larger and that is a bi-annual event (which I do not believe is held this year).

Speaking of trucks... by im_brentwood on Wed Aug 03 14:38:38 PDT 2011

My 60 Lincoln got picked up in West Frankfort, Illinois today and it's on the way to me as we speak! Might even have it tomorrow...

We purchased from Jeff Wyler Honda in Frankfort. I walked out of the Honda dealers in Richmond & Lexington (was not impressed). However, I really liked these guys. In my first post it should have been 29800 instead of 28900. Sorry about that. It actually ended up being closer to 29400 before tax, title, fees. Hope this helps! :)

Re: Lumps in 2011 Avalon seat [marco33] by jimbavalon2011 on Tue Apr 12 20:32:51 PDT 2011

Hi Marco, I was wondering what your out come was, sad how Toyota treats their customers - "Fill out the form". There IS a problem with the seat, I & you call it a defect; Toyota calls it "A Know Issue". I guess my dealer DID do me a favor. I advise you just get it fixed by a auto upholstery shop. As you correctly stated the material used for the fix won't be much money, mainly labor. I can't tell you the thickness or density of the material- for I did not see it. The upholstery guy when he opens the seat (and talks to you) will figure out the correct fix. I estimate the time to remove seat, fix(add padding) & reinstall at 2 hour +/-. The seat cover comes off easy. You will keep heat & cooling. My seat now is perfect, yours will be also. Soon you will forget this pain in the ass ordeal. I wonder the real number of complaints on this problem., how many other forums is this talked about. Keep it touch - best luck. Jim B. Frankfort, IL.

Frankfort is the largest, Paris #2 and Chicago #3. That is based on square footage of display area. Frankfort is the traditional show to debut new product..
