Hi Doug, did you get any answers on your fumes? I am a new owner of a 1988 Lux and face the same problem, but only when windows are down. No problems with leaks to be found underneath or in engine bay. I wondered if there was some vortex at work dragging the air back into the cabin. It is spoiling the fun even though the weather is not great in UK at present. I am new to this site also, so I am sorry if I have missed any posted feedback. Mike

Switching vehicles is always strange, but after a few weeks, I think you'll be happy you did. I was in 118 degrees today running around, and the air was flawless. I find that in this heat the engine bay retains too much heat due to the seal completely around the hood opening, so I raise mine when I pull into the garage. I think it will save on maintainence in the long run. I got mine with all options, except 20" wheel pkg and running boards. I had the dealer put mud flaps on, which are worth it if you live in muddy/snowy conditions. Keep us posted on your thoughts. jim ">

What state are you in ? That sounds like a great deal compared to current offer (in Bay Area, California) for $3499 down and $329/month, 3 yr lease, and 10, 000 miles.

Great info. Sorry for getting off topic. There are two kinds of auctions I know. One is exclusively for dealers in which you can test drive the vehicles. If vehicles don't get sold there, they fall into public auction places. Therefore, typically, vehicles at the public auctions are not in good shapes. The 2nd best way to buy used cars (if you have patience) is to ask a used car dealer you know well to watch the dealer auctions for certain vehicles you want. Typically, such dealers charge you some fee (says, $500 for the effort), and you pay the auction price + auction fee. In dealer auction, dealers bring their own mechanics and get to test drive them. Therefore, this is less an lottery compared with public auction (in which you can't test drive!). I was able to find a 06 Honda Civic in great condition at 10-20% below market value (FMV).

debbiejay, Something is not right with your A/C. Have your dealer look at it before warranty expires (soon I presumed). You could have a faulty switch in the A/C system. :(
