Parts of New Hampshire do not have emissions testing including Coos, Grafton, Carroll, Belknap, and Strafford counties. That's probably true of lots of states that have sparsely populated rural counties far from urbanized areas.

How can I disable the safety belt alerts? by gemini6toad on Wed Aug 04 19:04:34 PDT 2010

I drive a 2007 SX4 and want to disable the audible safety belt alarms that go off when the key is in the ignition and the and the safety belt is not buckled - same for the passenger side. I checked the manual, but it did not list the specific fuse that connects to the alarms. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can disable these alarms? - gordon

SX4 Oil Change In Worcester, MA by gemini6toad on Thu Jun 21 06:24:24 PDT 2007

Jiffy Lube, Valvoline, and other such garages don't seem to have the abilty to change the oil on my new SX4. It's not in their computers. I've called some local garages and they can't do it either. Does anyone know of any service shop in Worcester, MA that can change my oil? The dealer is quite a drive which I'd like to avoid. Thanks, Gordon

SX4 iPod Adaptor by gemini6toad on Fri Jun 15 08:35:01 PDT 2007

Hi all, Here's a heads up on the iPod adaptor. Once installed, a cord sits in the glove compartment, you plug in your ipod and shut the door. Title, Artist, and Album info appear on the stereo display, which is cool beans. You can move forward and back through tracks, set the Repeat modes and set to Random. Once it starts, it automatically sets your iPod to Repeat All. The system works with the CD Changer mode, so it starts playing 'CD 1' which is your entire ipod collection. You have to make playlists on your ipod (they must be named 'clarion1, clarion2 etc through clarion5 on your ipod) controlled by 'CDs 1-5'. For example, to play playlist clarion1, you must select CD 2. The sound quality is fantastic, and for that alone, it's worth getting if you're using an ipod device that broadcasts the signal over the radio airwaves. You can't scroll through your artists to find a particular album or song; you have to set your playlists beforehand and change them periodically to access something specific. That is annoying and later models might be better. If you use your ipod a lot, I would suggest getting the adaptor.

Here's a link to my SX4 Pics page. I'm driving from San Diego to LA tonight, so I'll really be able to open it up on the freeway and get full use of my iPod connector. http://public.fotki.com/gemini6toad/random/2007-suzuki-sx4/
