I was in Miami, just moved up to Orlando (WinterPark). I actually drove thru Minneola a few days ago scouting for land in that region. Lake and Sumter county booming. John, Yes, it's an upgraded system for higher capacity engines, or more so, it's like a "next generation" AWD system. Ford will implement these systems as well, although Volvo gets it first. Frasier, I'll look at some paperwork and get back to you, I believe it's for model year 2008, introduced July/August of 2006.

Armada or Sequoia by 514329 on Sun Jul 11 16:28:08 PDT 2004

Hey Klondike, I did go for the Armada last night bec. I just can't get a better deal w/ Toyota, either Siena or Sequoia. I got an SE 4X4 w/ tow for $34024.00 out the door and they paid off my trade w/c is $1264.00 while Siena XLE package 17 would cost $32880.00 (invoice) + $1000.00 internet sales profit + tax and Seq SR5 4X4 w/ alloy wheels and running board and 6 disc for $37000.00 something + tax + $2500.00 negative equity on my trade (no way). anyway it's a sweet deal huh! Daveman, I agree w/ you on the Armada, cause it got a lot of power driving it from Highland ranch to I25 going down to Castlerock is a blast. I haven't tried it yet on I70 going to Winterpark. its still in a breakin period but I'll keep you guys posted. I did hear some minor rattles here and there so what, the Siena center dash board w/c is also cheap plastic (where the audio are located) also created a creeking sound when I hit some minor bump (did notice that the steering wheel is not centered on the dash gauge, funny huh!!!)so thus the Seq. o by the way, mine has a 05-04 date on the door and only 9 days in the lot. LOTS OF THANKS GUYS.

Im back by joeolds on Mon Jul 30 13:51:20 PDT 2001

Just returned from the Oldsmobile Nationals in Denver. Only 3 Auroras in the show field. I thought our 98 had a good shot at winning best of class, but it wasn't to be. A green 97 won that award, Oh well we still got a first place award. There was a very nice Black 98 with autobahn, chrome wheels, gold package, sunroof, and after market wood kit and spoiler. It didn't win best of class either. My 73 cutlass did win its class somehow (I was very surprised-pleasantly). Fuel economy for our Aurora was in the mid 20s. We drove it up to the summit of Pikes Peak ( a nasty road on a drizzly day) and came down looking like we'd been four wheeling (muddy up to the windows. We also went up through the Breckenridge, Winterpark and Estes Park areas. Fuel economy in the mountains was not as good. The amount of fuel we put in never matched the D.I.C. number exactly but was close enough that I figured the difference was related to me topping off to the nearest even $.

aj's blue Forester by perrito on Sat Jun 23 07:53:19 PDT 2001

AJ, Congrats on finding, and getting, the new blue ridge S Forester from Mastro... that dealer was so highly recommended I nearly considered making the 2+hr. trip just to buy from them. After my experience in WinterPark, I may just do that next time (WRX STi?...). I hope it provides you with years of good service. I get compliments all the time from my students, family members, and yes... women. It's not a Corvette, but it's different enough for Florida that it does catch the attention of a few people. Enjoy! Let me know what you think of leather on the Forester once you have it installed... always thought it would be too hot in Florida for leather, but I may be wrong. best, perrito
