Re: Acura MDX Base [lexluthor]

Making a little progress. Paragon Acura in Woodside, NY will do $35,995+TTL and is still negotiable. They said they are the #1 Acura dealer in the nation (I think all dealers say that, right). So if you guys who got the $34,100+TTL price can maybe give me some more ammo, like Dealer Name, exact model/pricing/options, date purchased, etc, that might help me in final negotiations. It's still $2K higher than 3 other people here got, so I'm a bit concerned.
front license plate ticket
by bmwgal3 on Sun Aug 23 13:51:31 PDT 2009
I just got a fix-it ticket for not having a front license plate while parked in the Park-n-Ride in Woodside, CA. Carpooling to save the environment, right... So I called BMW Mountain View, my service advisor quoted me $300 to put on a license plate frame and have it painted to match the car (black). So I called Sterling BMW in Newport Beach, where I'd bought the car, and they mailed me a black plastic one for free. I brought it in to Mountain View and they installed it as a courtesy, took 2 minutes. Cost of ticket was $77, including the late fee...they want payment right away and don't give you time to shop around for a frame. Still, I saved $300.

Paragon Acura in Woodside. Is there any benefit of getting GAP insurance coverage if I plan to pay cash for the difference between trade in and new purchase price? The salesperson thinks its smarter to finance and get GAP insurance, even though I said I will pay cash.

I went to Millenium Toyota in Long Island, New York. They wanted $17,900 (OTD, @ 2.9%) for the LE. I told them my best offer was $17,600, but they wouldn't even hear me. Later that day I went to Honda dealership and got a Civic DX-VP for $17,500 (OTD, @ 2.9%). All I have to say is that I am not complaining and I am happy with my purchase. The Millenium Toyota simply lost a customer, their choice. Btw i purchased the Honda at Paragon Honda in Woodside, NY.
NYC prices honda fit at sport silver.

Thanks for all your comments, got a I think a great price for the North East. I was also looking in south florida and they no where came near what North East offered First I put no money down, entire amount borrowed from Municipal Credit Union for a 1.95% 60 month loan (great deal for month of Februrary, monthly payment of $321. Here goes the deal I got 2009 Honda Fit Sport Automatic silver from Paragon Honda in Woodside Queens, they really have a great staff. $16,599.00 Selling Price includes the destination charge (yes destination included) $79.00 Wheel locks No charge for full tank of gas and 2 years of needed oil changes. (not sure if this is from dealer or from honda.) $1396.78 Sales tax $12.50 Tire fee (recycling) $205 Plates and reg $45.00 Dealer processing fee (quibbled over it but in the end, I processed the sale in 2.5 hours at dealer on the same day I told them I was a go. ( by doing Geico on the phone in morning and going to Municipal Credit Union for loan. No documentation fee that I see often on the web site and from dealers =$18,337.28 OTD Thanks all. I must admit the prevailing price among dealers was around 16,799-16,999 for sale price including destination but because of all your suggestions one nyc dealer went lower. I parked the car this evening in NYC and two guys were crossing the street and they just said to me they liked the car, what kind is it. NICE Enjoy. PS What is Honda Care I got it for free but could not tell if that is just something that everyone gets when they buy the car. Oh, also because of your comments I had them give me the bridgestone tires instead of the Dunlop. Every little bit helps in keeping road noise down. But alas it is not a Lexus or a Rolls. who suffer from deafening silence in the cabin
