Re: ECS [bpmcardle] stabilitrack off, engine power reduced, service tracto by firespec on Wed Jan 04 06:38:01 PST 2012

This happened to me this weekend. (12-31-11) I went to Manchester Vt for New Years and went to start truck, ran ruff and bucked. I stopped and let it sit for a few minutes tben drove and did same. Now i did have it in all wheel drive. Anyway, i drove into Manchester and there was a gmc dealer and i explained what happened and She said "sounds like a throttle body". Hmmmm, anyay they couldnt get me in for a few hours to hook up to diagnostic machine. I left and it ran finr???? So today 1-4-12 i am driving to work and it starts to buck again my dealer Robertson's GMC in Wareham Ma is abiut 6 miles away. I figure i will try any limp my way there. Well car died completdly on side of road. 6am, 15 degrees out. So i sit for a few minutes and am getting ready to call aaa for a tow and i start up truck and it runs fine. I head to dealer and as i turn in lot it starts again. Short of it is. They replaced thottle position sensor cover, seal and f sensor kit, parts were $83.00 and labor $141.00. Just left and drove 30 miles to work. It ran well so far. Will update if any problems in future. Chris. GMC 2008 Yukon XL

a week ago today I bought a fairly loaded rx350. Sticker was 49500. I paid 45K. On top of that they included 45,000 total service, and a program that covers interior and exterior from stains or dings. I paid a one payment 36month 15K lease for about $22000. That is a little over seven thousand a year. Considering I pay $5000 a summer for dock space, I thought it was a good deal. Purchased in Manchester NH.

Re: Some would say.. [fedlawman] by shipo on Sat Oct 08 08:44:06 PDT 2011

When I turned the car in the mileage was pretty much spot on for the lease (right bang on 36,000 miles). You are correct in that less than a year after I leased the car I suffered a badly broken right leg and a partially detached foot which required surgery, hardware (which took place four days before a flight from Manchester, NH through both Detroit and Osaka to Taipei) and considerable time before I was more or less put back together. Given the mess my right leg was in it was pretty obvious my driving for the duration wouldn't be in my 5er; instead, Mrs. Shipo and I swapped cars and I was able to sling my casted right leg over into the passenger footwell of her minivan and drive left footed. So while I didn't drive the 530i for something like six months, it's not as if the car didn't get driven; in fact, due to where my wife worked at the time, she probably put more miles on it than I would have during the same period. :)

Hi, I have been offered $22,995 + TTL (about $424) for the following in Manchester, NH. NH doesn't have a sales tax but I will have to shell out about $500 for registration apart from the title charges. Nissan Altima 2.5 S Premium audio package 2.5 SL package (leather) 2.5 S Convenience plus package Should I go for this deal? Thanks in advance, Sharath

Re: America's fastest roads [andys120] by robr2 on Wed Aug 24 08:09:35 PDT 2011

I-93 from Boston to New Hampshire is a major commuter route. It's not all that fast during rush ours but at other times it can be quite fast. I've discovered that no matter how fast you're going somebody will pass you. If you loaf in the fast lane you'll have someone on your tail in less than two minutes wanting to get by. I-93 is my candidate for fastest road in the east which is amazing considering it goes through suburbanB oston and the cities of Manchester and Concord NH. Policing is light generally although you will occasionally see multiple cars pulled over. I commute everyday on 93 and will agree that during commute hours, it's slow but during off peak hours, it flows along at 75 or so. If one isn't being a jerk, one won't be bothered. Now that 93 is being widened from 2-3/4 lanes all the way from Salem to Manchester, NH, it'll be interesting to see how fast it'll move.
