I went to Calabasas today, the pump is there, but it is off. The manager of the stations has no plan on reopening. He said he paid $800 a month in Electricity and never sold that much, even with 2 or 3 CNG buses in Calabasas. Too bad, it was really close to the freeway and if it were reasonable, it would have been a great place for me. Oh well!

Last weekend, the newbury park station went down. I was there with 1 dot left in my tank, the light on, and no gas coming out. I was able to make it to Oxnard CE ($2.05). The station was repaired and back up on Monday (Also $2.05), but the fill is pretty poor there (their gage shows 3000 to 3100 when it shuts off). The last time I was in Canoga, it was $2.46 (about a week ago), so stretching it out to Newbury does have a pay off... I just looked at the website, and it seems a new station has opened in Calabasas. I'll have to check it out tomorrow (I'll post a report about it here).

Went to Boston last weekend, down on Newbury street there was a hotel, (name slipped my mind). Parked in front were 4 cars: - 911 Carerra 4S, Black - MB S55 AMG, Silver - Ferrari 360 Modena, Red - Ferrari ENZO!!! Red. A car worth 2X as much as my house, parked in downtown Boston. As if it was no big deal...
TL 6-speed, no nav
by stats on Fri Jun 25 22:17:31 PDT 2004
I just purchased mine tonight. I had the same experience as jrkelly above -- dealers acted like I was crazy to be asking for anything less than sticker. Some were willing to deal -- I called everyone in a 100 mile radius (which is about 18 dealers in southern Ca), mostly because 6-spd are hard to find. I couldn't secure anything over the phone, and a barrage of faxes didn't work either. So I bit the bullet after doing my homework for a week, went to a place that had one, and offered cash for the only 6-spd on the lot. I started at invoice, they countered with the Carsdirect.com price (32,200), I countered with 31,200, and we settled on 31,600. It is a 6 spd, non-nav with the high performance tires (HPT) and wheel locks and mud guards. Invoice is about $33,600 so that puts me 1,000 over invoice. Not bad -- I think both sides were pleased. All-in-all a pleasant experience, but there was a little good cop-bad cop, "this is a really hot car", "I am not making any money on this" but it all lasted about 10 minutes total. I just didn't respond to anything and just focused on the price in as professional a manner as possible.
infiniti G35 vs G35x (AWD)

Are the 36 mo/15k mi lease terms the same for the G35 and G35x? I may end up having to go the Infiniti route because it seems to be $100 a month less than the Acura TL. Thanks, Mark
Acura TL lease

Hi Car_man: Looks like I am going to go with the Acura, 36 mo and 15k miles. Just so I can be informed, can you tell me what is included and not included in a lease with AHFC? You mentioned that gap insurance is actually included, which was a surprise since I had one dealer willing to sell it to me. I have to pay 1st month lease, and a security deposit for my drive off cost? Plus registration fees and a tire fee (I believe this may be a CA thing). Is there an acquisition fee required or anything else? Can the security deposit be folded into the lease (I had one dealer suggest that this was possible)? Finally, what is the 48 month 15k lease MF and residual? I had one dealer suggest that this was the best deal in the Acura line right now. Thanks again for all your help. Mark
