The IMA represents Lockheed in Palmdale and the UAW at other Lockheed plants. We/they are all union brothers and sisters, who have a common cause. To be told that "he hasn't the right ethnic background" is illegal and I bet GM would never admit to that. As capitalism teaches us, the cream always rises to the top. Those who are at the bottom of the barrel are inferior. Almost like an Alger's novel, where a good person of great moral character goes from rags to riches. Therefore, all the CEOs must be better than the rest of us, including the entire workforce. The aristocracy would like you to believe this and that its your own fault that your a poor and or lacking in another area. That flaws in ones moral character hinder the masses. Since way back then the masses have been conditioned and led to believe this. Brain washed in the manner a Madison Ave firm sells a product. A social Darwinism of sorts, where the weak and feeble perish and the morally superior thrive. You say it enough and it becomes gospel. Its just fecal matter. I'm aware of CEOs racking $15,000 a year in greens fees at country clubs. I'm not quite sure how rounds and hours of golf that is? Someone please calculate that out. However, I'm not going to envy them. If someone is willing to pay them that, so be it. A shoe deal, a signing bonus, and a grill named after you, is the American dream.

Hi everyone- I'm from So. eastern centeral Calif in the Tehachapi mountain range which is 38 miles east of Bakersfield and 35 miles northwest of Palmdale and Lancaster Calif. My wife and I have a '06 MX-5 w/ auto trans. . .what a kick! I have installed a Kn Cold Air Filter-57A6023 which you can get from KN or order it from Auto Zone. This gives about 5-6 added hp. It is easy to install, TAKE YOUR TIME and read instructions carefully. I am running Royal Purple 5-20. No problems. I also run 36 psi in the Yoka's dvan A11A, the door sticker says 29 but in our type of driving we get an additional 3-4 miles/gal. My next set of tires are going to be General Altimax HP. Check out Tire Rack's site as well as Good-Win-Racing here in Calif-GREAT STUFF and Forum HAPPY MOTORING & ZOOOOOM ZOOOOM!
2008 Honda Civic LX auto
by bensul on Sun May 25 14:10:32 PDT 2008
Purchased a 2008 Civic LX auto yesterday and paid $16,400 for it. Only dealer add-on are the mudguards. After a $55 dealer preparation fee, a $1357.54 sales tax, a $28 DMV electronic filing fee and $176.75 DMV license, registration and tire fees, the total out the door price is $18,017.29. I bought the car from Valley-Hi Honda at Victorville, California. It is about 50 miles from where I live but my local dealer do not want to match their prices and on top of that, Palmdale Honda's internet department is not open on weekends. I also took advantage of the 2.9% financing for 60 months. I highly recommend my salesperson to anyone shopping for a Civic in the Los Angeles area. You can email me for his name and number. Thank you and hope this helps someone who is right now shopping for a Civic to possibly get even a better deal.

If the report on mileage was an isolated example you might have a point. But it seems to be closer to what several different reports are saying. This is as least the second or third report of that kind of mileage for the Smart. remember this little car has been selling in the red even in Europe where fuel mileage is close to the most consideration. Nippon I did drive the insight up our mountain at the time. A missionary friend of mine was living here and commuting to Palmdale from Arrowhead. Yes he got the 70 MPG going to Palmdale. He got a bit less coming home. But one night he allowed me to drive it from San Bernardino to Crestline. With the two of us and the climb we got passed by a Sammy. Having been the owner of several Sammies I was pretty surprised. But then it was only 1000 CCs and it had been on the freeway for several miles running at freeway speeds before he picked me up in Berdoo. You may be right and I should have bit the bullet and I now wish I had but then fuel wasn't more than 2 bucks a gallon and the Focus seemed so much more practical and it still got better than 30 MPG. Still I might keep my eye out for a used Insight. Living in the flatlands it makes a big difference as a in town car. I just don't think I will ever accept a sub compact as a road car or a highway cruiser. Only time will tell. My wife and I have talked it over and we will not be buying anything until we see if they deliver on the promised plug in hybrids or EVs by 2010. But I have been riding a bicycle a lot more now that we moved. ;) You wouldn't like it however, 21 speeds but no clutch. :P

They should be able to get a car from another dealer. Call Curtis at Robertson's Palmdale Honda. Or you can find him on www.cngchat.com
Re: '08 EX-L w/ RES and w/wo NAV? [jimbob1]
by diginat on Fri Jan 11 12:16:36 PST 2008
We've committed to purchase a 2008 EX-L w/ RES and NAV, plus pro pack. The price ($32,295) is about $370 higher than my two lowest quotes, but I have my choice of our top two color options (Deep Cherry or Baltic Blue; we're opting for the blue since it'll be straight off the truck on Monday, whereas we'd have to wait a bit longer for the transfer of the Deep Cherry). With tax (7.25%), tags, license and fees, our OTD price is $35,006.13. Otherwise, we could have chosen a nimbus gray, white, silver, or slate green for a little less, but I'll be keeping this for awhile, so I might as well like the color. The dealership we're buying from absolutely couldn't go lower, or, well, maybe she could (based on the lower prices) but I'm still happy with the deal as it is. FYI: the dealerships with slightly lower prices (must deal with internet managers, I think) were Barber Honda in Bakersfield, and Keyes Honda in Woodland Hills, and based on my correspondence and conversations with them, I'd have been happy to work with either of them - they were both very professional and competitive. Lancaster Honda gave a good quote ($31,995 plus TTL, but didn't include the pro pack and didn't have the color I wanted). I'm buying from Robertson Palmdale Honda, and can absolutely recommend their internet sales manager, too. Oh, and as for eyeballing the olive green interior - no, I didn't, but my 2000 Odyssey was one of those ubiquitous green/gray Odysseys, and I'm ready for a change from gray/gray kind of colors. :)
