Arizona recommendations?

I agree with Jeff. I lived in Phoenix back in the 80's and when it got too hot in the valley during the summer months, I'd take a day trip up to Sedona and Flagstaff to escape the heat. US 60 to Wickenburg, then north on 89 to Prescott. I think 89 splits at that point and you want to take 89A through Jerome (old, cool mining town built on the side of a mountain), then into Sedona. From Sedona north, you climb a couple thousand feet in not too many miles, IIRC. Flagstaff is at 7000', so the temp will be quite a bit cooler there than it was in Phoenix. Enjoy!

mileage figures are 21 city and 29 highway. BTW-ZZ Top is playing on April 24th here in Prescott Valley(a Phoenix burb)but I have to work. I don't like to take time off for rock concerts so I may drive to Vegas to see the little 'ole band from Texas. :D I'll disclose more information on the '08 Mitsubishi Lancer as soon as I find it out. I have sent e-mails looking for answers all over the planet(literally). I do know that the Lancer is coming to dealers in March and I don't know '08 Lancer prices. I got one e-mail back from a Mitsubishi corporate branch saying that they couldn't tell me prices yet but expect the '08 Lancer to start out at $14,000 for the GL model(the lowest end Lancer model). One does get a great car for that $14,000, though. Gotta purchase one of these cars, man! :P

having lived in arizona a long time and having hiked everywhere from the san juans to the arches to almost every named canyon in AZ & UT and then all the way into yosemite several several times and having driven from durango to flagstaff and down to scottsdale many many many times, i will have to say it's not a downhill drive. is it like never ending? maybe, but downhill it is not. i'd be excited with that mileage reading on the RL. now flagstaff to phoenix valley is mostly downhill except for the sudden 4000 odd foot climb just past the sedona exit (going southwards over the mingus mountains). Flagstaff to hoover is mostly downhill too. on that note, if you ever drive up from the phoenix valley to sedona skip I-17 and drive up over 89A. go catch it in prescott & go over the mingus mountain into Jerome, make sure you get some time there, then down into cottonwood, then into Sedona. Then if you have time, keep up on 89A all the way into flagstaff. And of course, to bring it back to topic, make sure, to either drive in a convertible or in your LPS.... ;) ksso
Delayed starting
by ghostrider84 on Mon Sep 05 13:59:47 PDT 2005
My 2000 GMC Savana with a 7.4L motor has delayed starting that is intermitting. It happens sometimes at first starting or after its warm it is verry inconsistant. It also starts at the first turn over. It has 145000 miles, I have just tuned it up including a new ign coil, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, Is there something that will delay the starting if there is low oil pressure or what. It has great oil pressure. I have replaced the fuel pump, filter and just about anything that I can. Can you help.
