i have a 2005 kia rio cinco which was purchased 5/20/05. the other day i was driving it and coming up to a stop and the car just turned off. It started right up and then did it again a little further down the road when I was slowing down to turn. again it started right up. about 1/2 hour later it did it twice while going straight down the road going about 20-25 mph. Took it to the dealer and they could not find anything wrong with it. This just doesn't seem normal for a car. Any suggestions? Has anyone else experienced a problem like this?

G'day Graham, Just curious....here in the US, "OFF Road" usually means the golf club or Safeway parking lot. Just wanted to know if you Auzzies really drive seriously "Off Road" with the Outback....you know, like those Paul Hogan commercials. If so, how do they hold up? Here in Washington state, every other car you see is an Outback, I guess because of the snow and weather issues...although here in the Tri-Cities, we usually have fairly mild winters. Thanks, Garrett Waddell

Yea juice, $17,340 from McCurly Autoplex at Pasco, Washington. They sell Chevy. Mercedes, Cadillac,Pontiac, Mazda, and Subaru that I know of, in three large showroom dealerships on the same ground. Invoice was $21,something, and retail was $23, something. We think we got a good deal (only one criteria, "cheap") and we really like the car. Garrett Waddell

I have a new (04) Outback. It is only the base 2.5L engine (manual 5 spd) but I am very unhappy with the "Non-liniarity" of the throttle input. It has big holes (hesitates) in the power delivery. It is more noticable on hard throttle than gradual input, but very noticable on both, and moreso on hard throttle. In my opinion, it is a fuel mapping problem. Corvette Z06 forums and other hot rod links all have "LS-1 edit" and other "tuner tricks" to correct things like this, but since this is an "economy car" there doesn't seem to be the interest in correcting this, and so I guess we'll just have to put up withit. Comment? GArrett Waddell
