Re: 2006 GX Fuel Mileage [danaman]

Hi danaman...this is adea...I just talked to the guy a few weeks ago that installs these and did mine a few years ago. He had to temporarily move to Queen Creek. The name of his company is Alt Fuel Systems and his name is Mark. His number is: 480-363-3436. He told me that he may not have any more 'steel' tanks (you can ask him when you call him), but he can install a tank the original size and composition (kevlar/carbon) for somewhere between $1300-1500 which still is a great deal! Good luck! :)

larsb: And even when I go to Texas, and I drive 5-7 miles per hour over the limit, SAFELY, there are hundreds of people an hour passing me, HUGE NUMBERS of them going more than 11 miles an hour over the limit. You might take the hint and press harder on the accelerator pedal. You are blocking traffic. ;) You should also note the absence of automotive armageddon...which shows those driving 11 mph over the posted limit are driving safely, too. Of course, if you do want to see more accidents when in Texas, then lobby to have that state implement photo radar along limited access highways, and then hope that it also experiences a 16 percent increase in total accidents in the same time period, and a doubling of fatal collisions - which is what happened in the Queen Creek region of Arizona's Pinal County during the time photo radar was in operation. And it looks as though one Arizona government official agrees with me that focusing solely on speeding to improve traffic safety is a waste of time: Babeu thinks that putting more deputies on patrol offers the best way to improve safety, instead of relying on cameras that "can't catch drunk drivers" or stop motorists involved in illegal or dangerous activities. This link should provide plenty of food for thought, and I don't mean Mickey Dee's. "Babeu said most of the total $134,199.43 in fines and fees from the paid citations covered administrative and operational costs, leaving the county with a net profit of $12,391.58 that Babeu dismissed as paltry. Moreover, Babeu said, total motor-vehicle accidents increased by 16 percent in the same time period, and fatal collisions in the Queen Creek area doubled from three to six." Pinal County shelves speed-camera program AZCentral.com)
OH Gosh !!!

Here is a story all you Photo Radar Haters are just gonna LOVE !!!! motor-vehicle accidents increased by 16 percent in the same time period, and fatal collisions in the Queen Creek area doubled from three to six. inal County supervisors Wednesday bid goodbye to photo enforcement. Their vote to terminate their contract with Redflex, the company that operates the cameras, came at the recommendation of the county's top law-enforcement official, new Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu. "I'm against photo speed enforcement completely," Babeu said, walking the three-member panel through a detailed PowerPoint presentation. "Here in Pinal, it's failed miserably." Babeu said speed cameras created dangerous road conditions and offered little financial benefit for the county. He plans to boost traffic enforcement through additional manpower. Although Pinal County's contract with Redflex wasn't set to expire until Feb. 20, two mobile speed cameras have not been in operation on Pinal roads since Babeu took office Jan. 1. The speed vans had been roadside in some of Pinal's most populous areas, including Apache Junction, Gold Canyon and unincorporated areas near Queen Creek, since mid-2007. The county's program is separate from the one operated by the Arizona Department of Public Safety on freeways statewide. The supervisors two weeks ago had tabled a vote on the Redflex contract because they wanted Babeu to prepare a report on camera enforcement in Pinal, including the financial impact on the county. He reported Wednesday that the two cameras were activated 11,416 times from September 2007 through last month. Of those activations, 7,290 resulted in citations, but only 3,711 were paid. Babeu said most of the total $134,199.43 in fines and fees from the paid citations covered administrative and operational costs, leaving the county with a net profit of $12,391.58 that Babeu dismissed as paltry.

Aww... I know which hwy. I've been on that one a few times, but not many. I've only been to Maricopa a couple of times and the couple times I went it was a huge mess akin to what is happening in Queen Creek because of all the construction.
Re: FOR SALE: FMQ-36

Please reply with information on your FuelMaker FMQ-36 (is it actually an FMQ-2-36?). How many hours do you have on the compressor? Do you have an indoor fill attachment or is it only for outdoor? We have a Honda Civic GX and have owned it new since Dec. 1998. We are not impressed with Phill, especially since FuelMaker originally told us that it would cost $2,000 the first year and would drop to $1,000 within a year or two. We almost purchased a used FMQ-2-36 5 years ago, but held off waiting for Phill. That was a mistake, since Phill came out $700 higher than the used FMQ-2-36. We live in California, near Sacramento, but have relatives in Queen Creek, so transportation would be an easier problem to solve. Thanks for the information.
