I like the reject "make your own" commercial. Watched it 3 times and laughed every time. Kept thinking that this might be the kind of "cooking" show Gilbert would host. :D
I've been scanning through some of the back messages in the forum and am surprised at the way they say some dealers treated them. I leased a Kia Optima Hybrid at Horne Kia in Gilbert, AZ two days ago and was ASTOUNDED at the service. I sold cars years ago ( or tried to ) and have bought many many cars through the years up to a Jag E type back in 67. I've never had a dealer treat me as well as we were treated at Horne Kia. Their tail lighting was the best I've ever experienced. I felt we got a pretty fair deal on this car that is loaded with just about every option. According to a lease evaluator I have it was rated an excellent lease deal. First new car I ever got that came with a full tank :). If you're considering leasing get the Lease Kit for your computer. But they took about an hour and explained how to work the toys to my owner and me both. Other car dealers just shake your hand and hand you the keys and say " good luck send us some customers ". I've only driven it maybe 60 miles so far but it seems to be really really nice. I've always bought domestic cars and would never consider foreign ... but since most of the so-called domestics are made in Mexico or Canada and so many parts are made in Japan or someplace it's hard to consider them domestic anymore. So although I liked the Lincoln MKZ and was thinking about the Ford Fusion after reading reviews that rated the Kia just a slight bit better than the Fusion I decided to look at them and wound up getting one. This is an unsolicited testimonial for Horne Kia :) in Gilbert, AZ.
According to the factory shop/repair manuals and just as Dr. Gilbert confirmed, the firmware cross checking of the two hall effect sensors is flawed. Not a sensor problem, just another bit of stupidity on the part of the NipponDenso, Denso US, engineering team.
Missed all day today - was in the hospital for two units of Philadelphia blood. AM back now. Why Gilbert Gottfried won't get his gig back - AFLAC does most of their business in Japan. That's where they started. They won't let this one slide. Actually he's not the AFLAC duck in Japan. They have another voice for that. sandman - I've got ya beat in the short department - 5'5". Size 8-1/2 wide shoes. Was a 7D until I hit my early 40s and all of a sudden my feet grew.
Poor Gilbert...sometimes ya just got to watch what you say...pretty dumb move on his part. From what I hear, Aflac has a large presence in Japan. Will miss the duck though...it just won't be the same with another voice no matter how close. And hey, everyone makes some mistakes...give it time Aflac and then bring him back! The Sandman :)
