I've gone on the beach a few times down at Chincoteague / Assateague Island. I have more fun taking my Pilot up to Rausch Creek and having a total blast playing up there. I've gone up and down 2nd, Blue, Peters mountains so many times I've lost count. As long as you know what your doing you should be fine, but always expect the unexpected and carry gear to help yourself out if you do get into trouble. Bought a 2012 Yaris LE 3 DR almost 2 wks ago - so far, so good! It's very roomy in the front (haven't sat in back yet) and I am very happy with my choice of car - am averaging almost 33 mpg so far - I had a 2001 Corolla LE before and I loved it too - just sold it to a friend. One thing I have noticed is that the Yaris' engine is not as quiet as the Corolla, it's not loud, just not as quiet - but it handles well and I like the fact that I am sitting a little higher off the ground = good visibility. The interior design is very nice and well laid-out - the exterior looks good too IMO - this is only the 3rd car I've had in the last 26 yrs so I spent alot of time researching before deciding on the Yaris - my color is Wave Line Pearl, a sky blue color - beautiful! I've always like smaller cars and the Yaris is just what I wanted.
You know tmart, after looking at the trunk and side moulding, you're right. I would have sworn those were '56 tail lights but now think that was a trick of lighting, my lousy monitor, and my aging eyes. Well done.
Wow, how did the Brits botch this one up? I mean, it was basically a Honda-with all of the bugs worked out. The Brits just had to add leather seats and some nicer "English" touches-so how did this marque go so horribly bad? The one I saw was a sad little rat- dented and making blue smoke. Are they worth anything?
We'll have to agree to disagree. The chrome side moulding appears too thin to be a 56, and it has horizontal chrome on the trunk of a 55 and not the big "V" shaped Fairlane emblem of the 56.
