I bought a 2005 Sierra 1500 5.3 L on !2-19-2012. The day after I bought it, it would not start. This has happened a dozen times since then. I have been taking it to a dealer in Anderson IN. They have had it five times since I bought it but have not been able to fix it yet. It normally happens after sitting overnight, but three days ago, I went to the Doctor, was in the office about 50 minutes, and it would not start. I tried about 10 minutes turning the key on and off, switching back and forth between neutral and Park. It finally started, and I drove it home. The mechanic the dealership has sent me to is Almack Autocare in Anderson IN - phone 765-683-1288. I have always bought GM but really got a bad deal this time.

A bit of a hijack-but the discussion reminded me of that "Seinfeld" episode-where the hapless George buys an old Chrysler K-car (thinking that it was owned by the actor Jon Vought). Of course, it was another Jon Vought-and the car is a piece of junk. Its kinda like the weird obsession that Americans have with places "where George Washington slept". Anyway, there are several "Hitler" M-B cars arond-one is at the Larz Anderson Museum (Brookline, MA). There is no proof that der fuhrer ever rode in it, however. I do recall seeing Hitler riding in the prototype VW "beetle"-but he never drove it.

Isnt it ironic though, that I told her to check the window and locks b4 i got there? The only reason I knew that was because of this site. And why is it that every dealer has never heard of this problem? My dealer in Woodstock, Anderson's never heard of it. The lady from GM Canada never heard of it.We should see how many dealers that we know of have never heard of this.Start a list or something.Ok, I'll start. 1. Andersons Gm in Woodstock Ontario Canada 2. GM Canada 3.Randy Wise Chevrolet Milan Mi. Ok Snaproll. Go through all the posts and fill this list in.LOL. It would be interesting to see how many we could come up with.j/k
