Porsche Boxster Lease Questions

2008 Porsche Boxster

So like every one else I see what is going on in the financial markets. I am looking to lease a Boxster and yes the deposit, factor, residual, miles are all important. While the dealers say rates are not important and factor and residual are the key elements I disagree. Market rates help to set the factor. My sales guy is either playing dumb or clueless on this topic. ... Read More...

Re: 2003 Porsche Boxer [zenrookie]

Upper range for 2003 Boxster pricing is $28,500-28,700 but I imagine the seller is considering the extremely low mileage. Is he throwing in any extras, or is the Box stock as a rock? For top dollar, you can get picky, but it will probably pass a pre-purchase inspection with flying colors. I envy you! For more info on buying, check out mike focke's web site and the ... 2008 Porsche Boxster Lease

I will be completing a lease contract on a 2004 Boxster at the end of this year and am interested in a 2008 model. Assuming a 48 month lease period, standard mileage allowance, no additional options, and top credit tier, what monthly payment range would be considered optimal for me as a repeat customer? Thanks, The Doc Read More...

The More Things Change, ...

On impulse a couple of weeks ago I bought a ’99 Boxster from a San Diego Union ad - cheap price, 57,000 miles, and then got Eibach lowering springs, Bilsteins, new front brake rotors, brake pads all around, 4-wheel zero tolerance competition alignment, new front 225-45/17 Yoko Advan Neova tires, plus new rear window and a few other things including Mobil I oil ... Re: 2006 Boxster base lease question [davezaristo]

I've never leased a car, so I'm not sure if it's a decent lease deal given money factors, residual values and all that stuff. By paying cash for all of my cars, I know I can comfortably afford them. But I done gone to business school and understand about opportunity cost of putting out $43,500 up front (or substantially more for a 911 S Cabriolet). So here's my complete ... Read More...

Re: Questions re: getting in a porsche for the first time. [dandrews1]

Far be it from me to want to discourage anyone from joining the Porsche family, but your statement.... "Avenger is going to start costing me a lot of money to keep up, and I would like to replace it with an affordable Boxster from the 90's (budget is a big consideration with the cost of the LR3 lease payment weighing me down every month)." ...has me wondering if a 7+ ... Re: Is $35,000 for this 2004 Boxter S with 14,000 miles about right? [mathoda]

I paid $38,000 for my 2004 Boxster (in May 2005) with 4614 miles on it, from a Dallas dealer. Upgrades were the color crested emblem on the 18" rims, silver metallic paint, xenon self leveling headlights, power seat package, windstop, the Bose stereo with sub-woofer, a Boxster car cover, two Porsche hats and two t-shirts. Re: Help wanted [newfrontier]

In 2004, the S2000 got a bump in displacement to 2.2 liters, so it has more torque at lower rpms and redlines at a more "tame" 8,200 rpm. So, although it may still be too edgy for your preferences, don't go strictly by the 2000 model. It didn't even have a glass rear window, which is an absolute must, IMO. Designman makes some good points, but I found the 2005 Boxster ... Read More...

Re: MSRP? [habitat1]

I am new to the Porsche world as well. Right now I am looking at a 2004 Boxster. Any idea on how much of a discount I could expect on that? The price on the lot is $40,300. How much lower do you think they would be willing to go? Read More...

Re: What is fair price to buy following 2004 S LOADED: [atwnsw1]

Not to pile on, but you seem to be getting a lot of good advice to stay away from the Tiptronic. I have been considering a 2005/6 911 and Boxster S myself and spent about 3 hours test drving 5 different cars at the dealership last Thursday. One was a 2005 Boxster S Tiptronic that the dealer wanted me to test only because it had the optional PASM and sport chrono package ... Read More...
