You might also want to put it in a historical perspective. The 2007 911 Turbo is cheaper than the 1995 Turbo was. And the 2007 911S outperforms the 1995 Turbo. It's a very good time to be in the market for a 911, extra charge rear wiper notwithstanding. Excellent point. While a 911 has a list of 71K, no one in their right mind would want one that way for that kind of money. At 71K you don't get leather, power seats, NAV, a rear wiper---this must be a joke, right?, There are a lot of reasons to talk yourself out of a Porsche. If I told you that my dealer would order a 2007 exactly as you want for a $4,000 discount would you use half of your extra $2,000 savings to get the ($920) sport/chrono? ;) On the 18 vs. 19" wheels, if you can tell the difference in the ride quality, you are a better man than me. Does anyone here have the Porsche hands free phone system in their 911? If so, does it work well? Please provide details. My car did not come with that option, but I am considering getting it installed. DC does not permit hand held cell phones (one of their few crazy laws that I actually agree with). Hey Mark - I use the multi-function buttons in my Mazda all the time. The band changing (am/fm), channel changing (85.5, 91.3, etc.), volume control, and sometimes even mute. Does the Porsche have these four functions? I've never seen it, but assume it does - I haven't gotten much (any) information from my sale guy. r... Read More...

It's better than I ever imagined. I am really glad I went with this color choice. When the sun hits the car, it gives off a slight metallic purple hue that looks incredible. I've also been told that the national "unveiling" of the 997 Turbo will be in late June. I'm not sure what's up with the demand at this point. My dealer and two others I have spoken with have incoming cars that they have not yet sold. Fortunately, Porsche seems to be a lot better at building the actual car than they are at having a website that allows you to virtually build your car. Half of the options on my car are not anywhere to be found on Porsche's "build your Carrera" site.
