Re: A General Question [pmc4]
Sir: PS I'm getting tired, yawn ( also of this ) so don't listen to my diatribe. Go to Edmunds : Full Test: 2007 Porsche 911 S... Mr. Huffman dosen't seem to find any glaring issues with the 997, his comments are on the contrary, you have to trust someone. I'm figuring it's his business so who do you believe? I'm done. Re: Porsche ad [chrmdome]
Replying to: pmc4 (Dec 05, 2007 9:45 pm) Yo: Yes , and by the way the " little black car " in the picture posted is an early VW...we all know the success story behind that company. Porsche AG , also by the way, is a major shareholder in Volkswagen...WHY????? Because Porsche AG has been so successful, knowing a good investment when they see one. No one in their right mind ... Re: Swapping shell over drivetrain [bluemule55]
Replying to: bluemule55, "Porsche 911" #1717, 2 Sep 2007 9:26 pm You'd probably want to use the G50 transmission (starting in 1987) and if possible a 1988/89 engine with the Bosch DME injection system. If you put a newer motor into an older 80s 911 with the 915 transmission, you're probably going to blow the trans out. It's not strong enough. Nothing wrong with ... Read More...

Re: 2007 911 turbo [habitat1]
All that I am saying is that to spend over $130,000.00 in purely disposable income; I would be hard pressed to take ownership of a car that wasn't EXACTLY perfect for me...additionally at that pricepoint the $10K is not really even relevant...We had two Turbo Coupes in stock last quarter because both clients had either changed their minds or experienced some ... Re: 2007 911 turbo [egold1]
Hi egold1. Porsche Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe with 12,000 miles per year are .00310 and 58%, respectively. The longer you wait, I suspect the more willing dealers will be to discount 2007 models, assuming that there are still any around when you decide to buy. Car_man Host ... Read More...
Article Comments - 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet First Drive
Most expensive of the Porshe line?
Accelerating to 60mph in a brain crushing 4.0 seconds, about 1/5th the time it takes for the top to fully retract, the 480 horsepower 911 will get you there fast and in style. Swaddled in leather and Bose 12-speaker sound system. http://gearpatrol.com/blog/2007/07/19/porsche-911-turbo-cabriolet/ Read More...
Re: Porsche 911 emblem [chile96]
I live in Palos Verdes which is a suburb of Los Angeles. I have a 2007 C2 and would prefer to change the oil every 7000 miles. With my BMWs, I had much better luck with independent repairmen. The dealers tend to be way too much trouble. I am a member of PCA but have not had the time to attend their meetings due to sailing, cycling & kids. Thanks! Read More...
Re: new to porsche [patrickleminou]
I would have the car thoroughly inspected by another Porsche dealer as a "pre-purchase" inspection. It might cost $200-$250, but it would be well worth it, given you are about to spend $40k on a 6 year old, out of warranty car. Speaking of which, that price sounds a little high to me, but I'm not in the used market, so maybe it's O.K. The "RMS" issue is the rear main seal ... Read More...
