I'd ask him to double check those wires and plugs. Bad ignition could lead to fouling of the throttle body, and I'd guess that would ultimately lead to injector issues. But it could be unrelated. At 33K at least you are under warranty, just try to find all the problems soon.

The repair was recent, so the new plugs and wires have corrected the lurching. Based on what I have read here it would seem that the replacements most people have used have also failed early. GM apparently will indiscriminately choose to correct some as warranty repairs, others they will not. It may or may not fix your problem. Temporarily it may fix it, but then you may experience issues again in a few months/year. Hence the 10 year/100000 mile warranty extension for the plugs and wires (if your car falls under the recall). I would take it to a GM dealership and find out.

Read through the posts on lurching on easy acceleration, the likely culprit is the spark plugs and wires. Don't assume GM will honor the service recall either; contact them first see if your VIN "fits their list" and then decide where you want it serviced. When you go to the other posts you'll see the run around I got.
