Solstice delivers decent numbers on the track but steering, handling and the engine don't deliver seat-of-the-pants satisfaction. The Solstice GXP continues as top of the line. It features a 260-horsepower turbocharged engine and stability control.
The ride is decent enough but there isn't enough space and seat travel for larger drivers. The engine note isn't particulary sporty - or even pleasant - and the driveline can be noisy. The GXP gets a sport-tuned suspension.
The top is difficult to use and requires getting in and out of the car. When stowed, it eats up nearly all of the already limited trunk space. Many of the features, such as the window switches and the cupholders, are laughably designed. There is no strorage space.
The exterior design is quite stunning but inside is another matter. Interior design is bland and the materials second rate.
