has anyone ever encountered these oddities -Scan tool shows 2 PCMs when there is only 1 -Updating the software crashes computer x2 on 3rd attempt it took update. - Crankshaft position sensor shows a difference of only a few RPMS then in a second Shows a difference of 1000RPM (crankshaft position sensor is new|). Here is an update of something similar to the symptoms I was receiving. I found a post from another forum that suggests there is a GM TSB 05-06-037 recommending a PCM firmware update (something I initially asked the dealer to look into but was instructed on how to use the cruise control instead) along with the high-resistance from the negative battery cable. I have a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix - Base Model (SE). I purchased the car used from RoyFoss in Toronto at 20,000KM. This is as stock as you get mostly because of this issue - no frills or add-on's or modifications. The vehicle will be running highways speed of 100 to 120Kph. Does not happen during urban driving. Well I have to agree. Took my wifes car into the tire shop today and the owner couldn't even guess what the strange wear pattern was from. We both checked the strut towerers for wear marks as thats what it looks like is happening. When we called the dealer he advised us to take it in and have the alignment checked. Hello I am also in germany Ramstein with a 2003 grand prix gt. I am having front end problems with the wheel hubs they will go around 80,000 miles. You can order parts from autozone with free shipping this helps us over here and also there is suppose to be a gm dealer in homburg or hamburg that is near here and you can get your car serviced or get warranty work done there. Hey, I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix and it has insane problems. The Service Engine Soon light came on a few days ago and has yet to turn off. Also I get the Tac dropping to 0 and then about 5-10 seconds later the Traction Control turns off.
