I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am. Earlier this year it began having starting problems and I learned that the fuel pump was not turning on sometimes when i put the ignition switch to on. ccsmileybear, I do not believe you need a new key. This thread deals with Pontiac security systems which have the resistor and switches as part of the ignition switch. If your vehicle is between 1999 and 2003, it's likely you don't have a system which relies on a circuit in the ignition key. What year and model is your pontiac? 1. go to ebay and look for a seller that goes by the name (thpartslady), or just do a search in ebaymotors for 2003 pontiac grand am rear speakers. I have a 2001 with both rear speakers blown and found them here, I have the monsoon stereo system so the ones I found were brand new and updated for that system. Ok. Thnks its not a GT its just a 4 door sedan SE. Great so really the transmission should be the same, do i need to worry about if it is a 4 cyl or 6 cyl. I know that has to do with just the engine but those that effect the transmission as well. I have a 6 cyl. Read More...

The only difference I'm aware of for those years would be if the donor car was a GT or not, and then the difference would only be in the final drive ratio, which is lower in the GT. Read More...

I wanted to know if I could use there transmissions even if it is a little older. Also I am in need of a power steering pump as well, so I would need that too from. Tommy, In message 465 (and 466), you posted some very detailed photos of your connector. On your photo, you can clearly read the pin numbers on the edge of the connector. It appears that your connector is identical to mine, and our yellow wires are indeed on Pin B6, and the black wire you need to use as a ground point for your resistor is on pin A6. My pontiac doesn't always want to start. sometimes I have to hold the key much longer to get it started and sometimes it starts just fine and other times it takes 3 times to get it started.
