2008 Pontiac G8

Re: XM 2008 [anteken1]

BTW: You are correct that GM initially announced XM as a production model feature for the G8. ( From February: See partial list below, quoted from GM’s first press release. ) My ** GUESS ** is that the XM issue is related to the fact that the initial build will apparently include a Blaupunkt audio head unit – and the fact that I don’t believe that XM is available in Australia ... Re: predictions... [justgreat47]

I am certain that the costs of shipping were carefully considered when the MSRPs were set. I am also reasonably certain that GM \ Pontiac considered such other factors as: 1) Pontiac needs a sales success. The G8 needs to sell, needs to live up to the pre-introduction expectations regarding performance, quality, etc. 2) In addition to a very competent Sports ... Read More...

Re: Azera VS Maxima and Avalon! [cobrazera]

You know...it's not the V-6's that go into the trucks & SUV's that are the problem. They've always done good with those engines. It's the cars that end up suffering. You have to remember, at one point most of the R&D money went into developing the power trains for the trucks and suv's. The cars suffered greatly and it showed. It wasn't until the American companies ... Read More...

The G8 GT with the 6.0L engine will achieve an estimated 15 miles per gallon in the city and 23 miles per gallon on the highway.* *MPG based on the EPA's ... Read More...

Pontiac G8 vs BMW 3-Series vs Lexus IS 350

Re: Pontiac competing with Lexus and BMW ???? [laurasdada]

Bills are being drafted to outlaw the UAW?? That will certainly help level the playing field... laurasdada, The UAW aren't totally to blame. They do blame themselves for allowing idiot beancounter CEO's like Roger Smith, to let the curve go across the plate while GM, was caught looking. The UAW, promised recently they will play a bigger role on product launches ... Read More...

If I were going to buy a ~$30k sedan, I would hold out for the G8. 6 Speed, RWD, V8. Can't go wrong with a Corvette sedan. http://www.motortrend.com/features/auto_news/2007/112_news070207_2008_pontiac_g8- / Read More...
